So after we finally chose the name [name_f]Veronica[/name_f] [name_f]Lillian[/name_f], my husband is having second thoughts. Other options we’re considering are [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] [name_f]Cornelia[/name_f] or [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] [name_f]Maybelle[/name_f]. Which of these three combos do you like best? Our last name is one syllable and starts with “G”.
My favorite is [name_f]Veronica[/name_f] [name_f]Lillian[/name_f]. I love the sassy [name_f]Veronica[/name_f] with the sweet [name_f]Lillian[/name_f]. I do like [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] [name_f]Cornelia[/name_f], but not as much as [name_f]Veronica[/name_f] [name_f]Lillian[/name_f]. I’m not really a fan of Vivan so, but I do like [name_f]Maybelle[/name_f] (though I prefer simple [name_f]Mabel[/name_f]). All three are great choices!
I think the one that’s the most interesting and surprising, the one I’d most like to meet in a young girl, is [name_f]Veronica[/name_f] [name_f]Lillian[/name_f].
What about it makes him hesitate? Which one is his preference?
He’s cooling on the name because the people he’s shared the name with turn their nose up at [name_f]Veronica[/name_f] and say it reminds them of [name_m]Archie[/name_m] comics (these are mostly males). When I’ve told my female family or friends, they like the name.
Definitely [name_f]Veronica[/name_f] [name_f]Lillian[/name_f]. It’s fantastic. 
I love [name_f]Lillian[/name_f], [name_f]Catherine[/name_f], and [name_u]Vivian[/name_u]. I personally do not care for [name_f]Veronica[/name_f] and [name_f]Cornelia[/name_f]. [name_f]Maybelle[/name_f] is okay. With that being said, I would have to say [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] [name_f]Maybelle[/name_f] is my favorite and [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] [name_f]Cornelia[/name_f] would be my second choice.

It has a cool meaning as well–image of truth!
I think [name_f]Veronica[/name_f] [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] is the most refreshing/unexpected choice. Would she have a nickname? Maybe that would help him feel more at ease/confident in the name.
The other one I like is [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] [name_f]Maybelle[/name_f]. Soft, feminine, even flirty.
I keep telling him not to share the name with anyone, but he hasn’t listened to me. Everyone is going to have a varying opinion. I just think he feels like more people have been negative rather than positive about the name.
I love that you mentioned the nickname Very! That’s one that I like. I also read that Vonka is a Russian nickname for [name_f]Veronica[/name_f], which I really like too.

I like [name_f]Veronica[/name_f] [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] best, to mix and match I like [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] [name_f]Maybelle[/name_f]/[name_f]Mabel[/name_f] as well.
