Our 4th baby is due in [name_u]August[/name_u] and she will be our second girl!
I have some favourite names - too many! So wondering if you can help me by coming up with some combos of my current favourites. Which ones do you like best? And in which combinations (with two middle names)?
Some more info: My husband is Mexican and I’m Australian. The names of our other children are in my signature below, for reference. The other children’s names all start with a vowel - the Virgo in me wants to keep that theme but if something else works/feels/looks better - then I’d be happy to go with it!
[name_f]Elodie[/name_f] Saraphine [name_f]Alejandra[/name_f]
I really really love [name_f]Adela[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f], I know that’s not three names, but I wanted to throw it in there
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f] is my favorite, and I think it fits in well with the names of your other children. [name_m]How[/name_m] about: [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] [name_m]Macario[/name_m], [name_u]Ariel[/name_u] [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] [name_m]Aurelio[/name_m], [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] Citali, and [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Angelica[/name_f]?
Thanks! I really like [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] also. My daughter is already demanding that her baby sister be named [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] - and nothing else! But she also said she wanted to call her [name_f]Lily[/name_f] before I even knew I was pregnant!
I really love [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] [name_f]Adela[/name_f] [name_f]Seraphine[/name_f] from your suggestions! Thank you!
Thank you everyone for your suggestions! I really appreciate it.
I am feeling a little stuck at the moment. Kind of tired of all my options and feel like finding something completely different. I think I’ve been spending too much time thinking about it!
Please let me know if you have any other suggestions for names that I might not have come across yet.
Thanks again!
P.S. My husband’s favourites are [name_f]Elodie[/name_f], [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] & [name_f]Seraphine[/name_f] at this stage.
[name_f]Elodie[/name_f] is lovely as is [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] and [name_f]Seraphine[/name_f].
[name_f]Elodie[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] [name_f]Seraphine[/name_f].
Perhaps if you’re not feeling this is right then you havent got the right name or if you are like me you have to exhaust all other options before committing to a favourite.
Have you looked at names beginning with I? To keep the vowel pattern going…not that you have to but my brain immediately went to I…3/4 syllables. Someone suggested [name_f]Ianthe[/name_f]. Maybe [name_f]Ivana[/name_f], [name_f]India[/name_f], [name_f]Imogen[/name_f], [name_f]Isobel[/name_f], [name_f]Izara[/name_f], [name_m]Ilara[/name_m]…
Good luck.
Philothea is intriguing! Is it “fill-a-THEE-a,” like [name_f]Philomena[/name_f]? It reminds me of [name_f]Theophila[/name_f], too. It’s very flowing and Italianate. Besides the obvious “[name_f]Thea[/name_f]” (or “Filly?”) you could call her “[name_f]Fia[/name_f]” for short. I like it a lot!
[name_f]Elodie[/name_f] has the vowel initial and contains I, L and E (as do your other kids’ names). It’s very soft and willowy - [name_f]Melody[/name_f] without the M. I think it’s a good name with a solid history, though personally I’d rather she didn’t share the same initial as her sister. [name_f]Ianthe[/name_f] would also fit the vowel theme; I think it’s pretty and sweet. Or what about [name_f]Yolanda[/name_f] ("[name_f]Yoli[/name_f]" or “[name_f]Yola[/name_f]”)? Also, I like the nicknames “Aleja” or “[name_f]Alondra[/name_f]” for [name_f]Alejandra[/name_f].
I notice your daughter’s second middle name is Nahuatl. You might like [name_f]Isela[/name_f], the name of Mexican actress [name_f]Isela[/name_f] [name_u]Vega[/name_u], an elaboration of Isel, from Nahuatl isel “alone, unique, only.” Variations include Izel and Iselti.
Sorry, not great at combinations! Philothea [name_u]Clare[/name_u] Isel? Lovella [name_f]Seraphine[/name_f] [name_f]Julieta[/name_f]? [name_f]Ianthe[/name_f] [name_f]Delphine[/name_f] [name_f]Erendira[/name_f]?
Thank you! [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] [name_f]Seraphine[/name_f] is one of my favourite combinations.
Thank you also for the ‘I’ name suggestions. I have looked for names beginning with the letter ‘I’ but haven’t found any that I love yet. My husband is quite fond of [name_f]Isabel[/name_f], but I’m not quite there yet! Although I do think it goes well with my other childrens’ names. One of my sons wants it to be a name starting with ‘I’ too.
[name_m]Hi[/name_m], thank you so much! Yes, Philothea is like “fill-o-THEE-ah”, kind of like [name_f]Philomena[/name_f]. I actually love Philothea and it was my great grandmother’s middle name ([name_u]Jessie[/name_u] Philothea). It has Greek roots and means “lover of God” or “friend of God”. My husband doesn’t love it as much as I do, which is why it’s not definite yet. But it is very high on my list for one of the middle names.
Oh I looove your suggestions of [name_f]Isela[/name_f]!! I hadn’t heard of it before and automatically loved it when I read it. Thank you so much! I have been looking for Nahuatl names to match her sister’s, [name_f]Citlali[/name_f], but as yet hadn’t found one that I love. I’ve now got Isel/[name_f]Isela[/name_f] on my list. Thank you so much!! (My husband is from Mexico which is why the Nahuatl names are special for us). I’ve also been searching for Maori names, as I have Maori ancestry also (although, I’m Australian).
Thanks again for your help!! I’m so happy to have found [name_f]Isela[/name_f]. Can’t thank you enough! x
