We have a 3 year old daughter named [name]Orly[/name] [name]Sarah[/name].
We already have our boy name picked out if we have a boy ([name]Avi[/name] [name]Benjamin[/name])
these are what we’re choosing among if we have a girl:
[name]Evie[/name] [name]Basha[/name] (rhymes with [name]Sasha[/name])
[name]Libby[/name] [name]Basha[/name]
[name]Yael[/name] [name]Basha[/name]
I think I would choose [name]Yael[/name] [name]Basha[/name] for [name]Orly[/name]'s sibling because it’s the least similar name. If you have a boy in the future named [name]Avi[/name], the sibset of [name]Orly[/name], [name]Evie[/name]/[name]Libby[/name] and [name]Avi[/name] would be too matchy.
I personally like [name]Libby[/name] [name]Basha[/name] the best.
I’m not familiar with the name [name]Yael[/name] (pronunciation, gender, history—anything) but with sister [name]Orly[/name] that might fit very well. It’s hard for me to speak to.
I live [name]Evie[/name] best with [name]Orly[/name], but I see [name]Blade[/name]'s point about an [name]Evie[/name] and [name]Avi[/name]-- you might have to do re-do one of those if you have a 3rd child.
I like [name]Evie[/name] and [name]Libby[/name]. I’m biased with [name]Evie[/name] though. It’s what we call our daughter, [name]Evangeline[/name] [name]Evie[/name] and [name]Avi[/name] could be so close you’d regularly say the wrong name for the wrong child. [name]Libby[/name] has a similar sound, however, with more of a difference between the names.
Your ear is right, a name ending on a vowel sounds best with [name]Basha[/name] as the first name flows right into the second. However, it’s the -ee ending sound that’s just too similar to [name]Orly[/name] and hypothetical brother [name]Avi[/name].
I like [name]Yael[/name] in style, as it matches perfectly (sweet modern Hebrew name), but not for aesthetics. Maybe:
