We find out today if we’re having twins! I’m only 9 weeks, but already showing quite a bit and twins run in my family, so my midwife wants me to find out how many belly residents I have asap. If there are two, I expect them to be girls since all of the twins in my direct family are g/g twins. So my question is…
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Persephone[/name_f] and [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Antoinette[/name_f]
Or
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Antoinette[/name_f] and [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Persephone[/name_f]?
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] and [name_f]Rose[/name_f] are both special to me and my husband for multiple reasons. [name_f]Persephone[/name_f] and [name_f]Antoinette[/name_f] are both associated with [name_m]Scorpio[/name_m] which is probably the sign the babies would be born under.
The two flower first names are too matchy for me…I would love to see [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Antoinette[/name_f] and [name_f]Persephone[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. [name_m]Just[/name_m] to shake it up a little and make it less…expected. [name_f]Iris[/name_f] and [name_f]Persephone[/name_f] would be beautiful twin names. I like [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Antoinette[/name_f] the best for a combo.
I like [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Antoinette[/name_f] and [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Persephone[/name_f] the best. [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Antoinette[/name_f] is also very pretty, but [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Persephone[/name_f] sounds better than [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Persephone[/name_f].
I don’t find [name_f]Iris[/name_f] and [name_f]Rose[/name_f] too matchy, if you love it use it, but it is matchy. It’s not a big problem, though and full names are so pretty. You should made a poll, this could end up confusing.
I’m leaning towards [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Antoinette[/name_f] and [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Persephone[/name_f] now after thinking it over a little more. That way they’d both have a mythological name.
As far as the matchiness goes, [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Iris[/name_f] are our two top names if we only have one girl. They’re the ones we’ll be choosing between. They both hold a lot of meaning for us. They just happen to both be flowers, but that’s not why I chose them for twins. [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is a family name on my husband’s side and has been on my list since I was like five. [name_f]Iris[/name_f] is in honor of my granny who hated her name, but loved flowers. She had a huge bed of irises in her yard.
[name_f]Persephone[/name_f] isn’t an option for a first name. We tend to like shorter, 1-2 syllable first names and longer middle names.
