[name]Jude[/name] or [name]Judah[/name]? I’m in love with both but I can’t decide which one i like more.
I like [name]Jude[/name] as a nn for [name]Judah[/name]. Or just [name]Jude[/name].
I prefer [name]Jude[/name], It’s strong and handsome and I love the Beatles so it makes me think of them.
[name]Jude[/name] is my preference. The name is only one-syllable but it packs a punch! It has it all: it’s a Biblical name, it has both a literary association ([name]Thomas[/name] [name]Hardy[/name]'s novel “[name]Jude[/name] the Obscure”) and a musical connection with the Beatles “Hey [name]Jude[/name]”. [name]Judah[/name] reminds me too much of the traitor [name]Judas[/name] so it’s not a favourite of mine.

I prefer [name]Judah[/name] actually. [name]Jude[/name] is nice too, reminds me of the Beatles. But [name]Judah[/name] sounds so strong and handsome, and it sounds more ancient and cool as well. [name]Judah[/name] was on my list for a long time, as well as [name]Silas[/name], but my husband kept saying “You must really like Weeds, don’t you?” [name]Judah[/name] and [name]Silas[/name] are characters in the show. I took [name]Judah[/name] off my list recently because everyone I said it to either said “Isn’t that Biblical?” or “Are you Jewish?” and we are not religious, so it won’t work for us I guess.
[name]Judah[/name] is a very nice name but I prefer [name]Jude[/name] and I think it stands very well on it’s own, so I would say that if you are going to call him [name]Jude[/name] all the time if his name is [name]Judah[/name], then why not just go with [name]Jude[/name].

I prefer [name]Jude[/name]. When I say [name]Judah[/name] out loud I see potential for hearing “[name]Judith[/name]” or [name]Judas[/name]" neither of which I like. Also, since so many female names end in with “a” (or “ah” which is the same sound) it has a somewhat feminine sound to it to me.
