Of those three, I very much prefer [name_m]Roman[/name_m]. [name_m]Jaxon[/name_m] is extremely, extremely trendy. It will be forever date-stamped as a “2015 name.” Its parent name, [name_m]Jackson[/name_m], has a little more staying power, but spelling variations tend to fizzle and burn out faster.
Colsen seems like a surname with another spelling twist. I just don’t find it that interesting.
[name_m]Roman[/name_m] is a cool name: fits in with all the boy names ending in N, but has a lot more history and staying power.
You might really like that X in the middle of [name_m]Jaxon[/name_m]-- lots of people do. If so, how do you feel about these similar names, which have the same ‘cool factor’ but a little more depth:
[name_u]Paxton[/name_u]
[name_m]Axton[/name_m]
[name_m]Xander[/name_m]
Exton
[name_u]Lennox[/name_u]
[name_m]Knox[/name_m]
Definitely [name_m]Roman[/name_m]!
[name_m]Roman[/name_m]. The other two are just made-up sounding.
I like Colsen. My husband, too, liked [name_m]Jaxon[/name_m], but I just couldn’t go for that because every time we went anywhere, we heard a parent calling out that name. It IS the most common name when all spellings combined. But it is number 1 for a reason. It’s a great name. [name_m]Just[/name_m] depends on if you mind the popularity. Colsen to me is unique but gives a more common nickname of [name_m]Cole[/name_m].
[name_m]Roman[/name_m] for sure
As of right now I know three baby Jaxons and one [name_m]Jackson[/name_m], VERY popular name right now!
Thank you everyone for the input and votes!
[name_m]Roman[/name_m] is SO handsome! It’s strong, but not heard very often.
[name_m]Roman[/name_m], no question for me. [name_m]Jaxson[/name_m] seems like a trendier version of the already popular [name_m]Jackson[/name_m]. Colsen reminds me of [name_f]Marvel[/name_f].
