Which do you prefer?

[name_m]Hi[/name_m],
This is our first baby and finding it difficult to choose between two boy names;

[name_m]Ed[/name_m]/[name_m]Eddie[/name_m] with [name_m]Edward[/name_m] being on birth certificate
Or
[name_u]Freddie[/name_u] with [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] being on birth certificate??

Our last name is [name_u]Jackson[/name_u]

Thankyou xx

I feel like [name_u]Freddie[/name_u]/[name_m]Fredrick[/name_m] [name_u]Jackson[/name_u] roles off the tongue easier than [name_m]Eddie[/name_m] [name_u]Jackson[/name_u] for some reason.

Both names are nice though.

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there.

They’re both lovely names, but I prefer [name_u]Freddie[/name_u]. It’s a bit more unique, & just more fun. [name_m]Ed[/name_m] I can picture on a cranky old man, but [name_m]Fred[/name_m] sounds more friendly. Also, [name_m]Eddie[/name_m] [name_u]Jackson[/name_u] is the name of an NFL player. Not sure how famous he is, but I’m not a NFL fan & I recognized the name. [name_m]Just[/name_m] something to consider.

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps. :slight_smile:

I really like them both–it’s hard to choose! I’m finding [name_u]Freddie[/name_u] just irresistible though, so my vote goes to [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] nn [name_u]Freddie[/name_u]. So sweet!

I personally prefer [name_u]Freddie[/name_u] with [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] being on the birth certificate but [name_m]Ed[/name_m]/[name_m]Eddie[/name_m] with [name_m]Edward[/name_m] is a good choice as well

I prefer [name_m]Edward[/name_m] [name_u]Jackson[/name_u], than [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] [name_u]Jackson[/name_u]… however, [name_m]Eddie[/name_m] is very overused where I live, I hear it everywhere… yet I never hear [name_u]Freddie[/name_u].
