I donāt think my love for Eliza is any secret, but I have a few others that I really love. Please provide honest feedback. Other suggestions are more than welcome! Note: I absolutely love the name Evangeline for other people. Iām just not a fan of how I pronounce the ending of the name, so I donāt think itās for me.
I love E names too!! I have [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], [name_f]Eliza[/name_f], and [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] in my uc, along with [name_u]Emmett[/name_u] and [name_m]Evander[/name_m] for boys
I chose [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] and [name_f]Evie[/name_f]. I think I started to like [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] when I saw [name_m]Hamilton[/name_m] for the first time and now itās one of my favorites! I love the vibes that [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] gives offā¦ I also like [name_f]Evie[/name_f]. I think of it as a nickname for [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f], but I know an [name_f]Evie[/name_f] (pronounced Eh-vie) whose full name is Geneviev3.
These are the other E-starting girlsā names I likeā¦
[name_u]Eden[/name_u]
[name_f]Elle[/name_f]
[name_f]Elodie[/name_f]
[name_f]Emelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Emmeline[/name_f]
[name_u]Esme[/name_u]
[name_f]Eva[/name_f]
[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps! Also I looove the names on your uc!!
P.S: Iām not very good at the aesthetic emoji thingā¦
I have to say, I do really like [name_f]Eliza[/name_f], but I wouldnāt want to be named [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]. I think itās because ālizeā syllable sounds a bit strong to me, and Iām more of a soft spoken type of person. But it really works well on other people. I chose [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] because I think it fits a variety of personalities.
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] is my favourite - bright, sharp and pretty with plenty of spark and kick. Itās classic but with a little twist!
[name_f]Evie[/name_f] is my second favourite on the list - sweet and gentle but also sassy and stylish.
If I was to give a few suggestions based on these, Iād offer: [name_f]Elara[/name_f], [name_f]Elsie[/name_f], [name_f]Edith[/name_f], [name_f]Edie[/name_f] and [name_u]Esme[/name_u]
However from your list I love [name_f]Evie[/name_f]. Honestly [name_f]Evie[/name_f] is absolutely gorgeous sheās sweet, cosy, warm and charming. [name_f]Evie[/name_f] feels like an oversized jumper on an autumnal day. I love her.
@Eirime Thank you so much! You give me more confidence about potentially using [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] in the future. I completely understand what you mean about [name_f]Evie[/name_f] and [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] sounding too much like nicknames. In addition to not liking my own pronunciation of [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f], longer variations of [name_f]Evie[/name_f] just donāt feel like me. And as for [name_f]Ellie[/name_f], I actually strongly prefer [name_f]Nora[/name_f]. A very close friend used a similar name for one of her daughters. As much as I still love the name [name_f]Nora[/name_f], I want to be respectful of that. I know myself and I know that I would intuitively shorten [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] to [name_f]Nora[/name_f].
@rosemary.luella99 Thank you so much! I knew one person whose full name was [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] before realizing I could use it as an honor for my grandma while still my future daughter something that is her own. That [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] is really sweet.
! I love that you like it because of [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_m]Hamilton[/name_m]!
From your list of suggestions, my favorites are:
[name_u]Eden[/name_u]
[name_f]Elodie[/name_f]
[name_u]Esme[/name_u] (How did I forget about this one?!)
@nbk Thank you so much! I completely understand your feeling that the middle syllable is strong! Thatās of the things I like about it I think. I agree that [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] fits a variety of personalities. I think itās highly underrated as a stand alone name.
From your list, my favourite is [name_f]Evie[/name_f]!
I like it with either pronunciation (EH-vee or EE-vee). It has a gentle sound like the word āeveningā, which I find very appealing.
I myself donāt tend to lean towards names with āzā in them (e.g. Eliza), & [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] just doesnāt ring my chimes, but I do like similar variations such [name_u]Elisa[/name_u], [name_f]Elsa[/name_f], & [name_f]Ella[/name_f].
@Greyblue Thank you so much! I think you picked out my top two favorites from my list as it is. And your descriptions are perfect! I love that [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] is classic with a twist, and Evieās sass is a huge reason that Iām so drawn to it over longer variations.
Of your suggestions, my favorites are [name_f]Edie[/name_f] and [name_u]Esme[/name_u]!
@janeybaby Thank you so much! I love both of the names you chose so much and appreciate all your beautiful suggestions!
From your list, my favorites are:
[name_f]Eve[/name_f] (I donāt know if Iām brave enough to use as a first name, but I do love it!)
[name_f]Esti[/name_f]
[name_u]Eden[/name_u]
[name_f]Etta[/name_f]
[name_f]Edie[/name_f]
@tori101 Thank you so much! Your description of the aesthetic of [name_f]Evie[/name_f] is beautiful! I can picture a little [name_f]Evie[/name_f] in a big sweater playing in the leaves.
I also like that I could use [name_f]Evie[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and get the best of both worlds in my top two, [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] and [name_f]Evie[/name_f]!
[name_m]Hi[/name_m]! I think the general consensus that youāll get on the forum is [name_f]Eliza[/name_f], but my favourite from these would be [name_f]Evie[/name_f]! Itās so sweet, yet spunky. I think [name_f]Evie[/name_f] and [name_f]Molly[/name_f] would make lovely sisters.
Here are some more suggestions:
[name_f]Eloise[/name_f]
[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]
[name_f]Elsie[/name_f]
[name_f]Emilia[/name_f]
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] āEvieā
Also, I second @tori101 on [name_f]Evie[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]! Thatās stunning!
@Northern1 Thank you so much! I can absolutely see why you donāt care for [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]! Itās definitely not for everyone because the z sound is so prominent within the name.
Of your suggestions, my favorites are;
[name_f]Elsie[/name_f]
[name_u]Eden[/name_u]
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] (I wish I could use this one, but I love seeing others use it!)
@lilyofthevale Thank you so much! I completely forgot about [name_f]Eloise[/name_f], itās beautiful! And I absolutely love [name_f]Evie[/name_f] and [name_f]Molly[/name_f] together!
A few days ago, I convinced myself that I couldnāt use [name_f]Molly[/name_f] anymore because my parents had a dog named [name_f]Molly[/name_f] before I was born. But Iām starting to change my mind again. I am loving the name so much. The fact that itās a double honor name makes it even more special!
