[name]Esme[/name] is my favorite by far. All three names are gorgeous though.

[name]Esme[/name] is my favourite by a long, long way. Only problem with it is that Brits and Aussies sometimes say [name]Esme[/name] as ez-mee instead of ez-may (alternately, you love ez-mee and you’re appalled I say ez-may, lol!)

I have never liked [name]Eloise[/name] but even if I did, two el’s in the surname is too much to go with it well.

I prefer just [name]Eve[/name] to [name]Eva[/name], its smoother, only one pronunciation, and several hundred spaces less popular according to Social Security for the US stats.

But I like [name]Esme[/name] more than [name]Eve[/name].

[name]Eva[/name] for me

  1. [name]Eva[/name]
  2. [name]Eloise[/name]
  3. [name]Esme[/name]

[name]Eva[/name] is one of my ultra-favorites! It’s classy and beautiful. Like you, I pronounce it Ee-va. It may be short on paper, but it’s a rich two- syllable name that packs a lot of punch as a name. If I had a couple more daughters, I would probably use [name]Eva[/name] or [name]Eve[/name].

We have widdled down our list and [name]Eva[/name] and [name]Esme[/name] are both on the short list. My husband loves [name]Eva[/name], I love [name]Esme[/name]. [name]Eva[/name] is much much more popular, and that can be both good and bad depending on what you are looking for. I don’t think you can go wrong with either!

My favorite is [name]Eloise[/name]. I think it’s a knockout choice, and there’s no ambiguity about its pronunciation. Whether or not there would be too much of an “el” sound in “[name]Eloise[/name] + the last name” really depends on the name in question.

I really love both [name]Esme[/name] and [name]Eva[/name]. [name]Esme[/name] only ranks at 981, so I’d not be too concerned about that. I think I’d be more likely to use [name]Eva[/name], but I really love [name]Esme[/name], too.

[name]Esme[/name], it’s adoreable! All good names though!
