You’re right, I’m not crazy about [name_m]Henry[/name_m] Petrofski. It’s actually a little difficult for me to say. The easiest names are [name_m]Luke[/name_m] and [name_m]Luka[/name_m]. I like [name_m]Luke[/name_m] Petrofski the best out of your choices. It’s easy to pronounce and sounds great to the ear.
I actually like [name_m]Henry[/name_m] Petrofski. I think something simple and classic works, and there are so many syllables between the “ree” and “skee” parts that I am not too fussed by it. Then again, I know a family with an equally Polish surname, and the mom is nn’d [name_f]Toni[/name_f] and the son [name_u]Andy[/name_u], and they’ve never had any problems. I think it’s fine. [name_u]James[/name_u] is lovely, but it doesn’t excite me, and the same with [name_m]Luke[/name_m]. I like [name_m]Luka[/name_m] okay, and [name_m]Luka[/name_m] Petrofski is nice (I like [name_m]Henry[/name_m] more, though).
For some reason [name_u]Seth[/name_u] Petrofski keeps striking me. I really love it, but if you’re done taking suggestions, I understand. I feel like it has a lovely blend of the styles between [name_u]James[/name_u] and [name_m]Luke[/name_m], still Biblical, but a bit less mainstream, and I don’t think you would get the worries that [name_u]Seth[/name_u] Petrofski sounds bad–it doesn’t rhyme like [name_m]Henry[/name_m] does (not that that bothers me, but as you said, it’ll bother the other Berries! :)).
I really love [name_m]Henry[/name_m] Petrofski, though. It’s so adorable! Yet [name_m]Henry[/name_m] grows up so well.
Good luck!
Thanks for your feedback dovah & ash! [name_u]Ash[/name_u] - I get what you’re saying about [name_u]Seth[/name_u], it was actually on the list in the early days but I just wasn’t as enamoured by it as others and didn’t have any family or heritage ties like the names we’ve narrowed it down to do. Thanks for suggesting though. [name_f]Glad[/name_f] you like the flow of [name_m]Henry[/name_m] with the last name :). I just meet someone called [name_m]Peter[/name_m] [name_m]Lester[/name_m] today and he said he liked the flow of his name with same endings so I guess that’s good hearing it from a guy too :).
Thanks for all the votes everyone, it’s hard to tell which is going to be the real favourite - they’re all so close!
I like [name_m]Henry[/name_m] and [name_m]Luke[/name_m] but in the end I voted for [name_m]Luke[/name_m] as I liked the single syllable with your last name.
I like [name_m]Henry[/name_m] or [name_m]Luka[/name_m] the most.
Aaagh, how can it be exactly 12 votes each! Haha, didn’t realise it would be so even but that’s a big vote of confidence in each names’ favour. Keep up the votes, [name_f]TIA[/name_f].
I think all names are nice names. I think all are okay With your last Name. So I say just go with The one you love The most. Is it [name_m]Henry[/name_m]? Then go with it!
Thanks taylor. I am really struggling to decide which I love the most, probably [name_u]James[/name_u] & [name_m]Henry[/name_m], but then I flutter between them & [name_m]Luke[/name_m]. [name_m]Luka[/name_m] is probably the one I’m not quite as fixated on as it has a softer vibe than my usual taste but its in our top 4 for its continental qualities. Hoping this poll, even if the votes are even voting as they are now, helps me at least collate my thoughts to reveal which one I subconsciously want out front :).
I know this isn’t helpful…but I couldn’t vote because I really like all of them! Good luck!
I like [name_u]James[/name_u]!
They all work with your last name! I voted for [name_m]Luka[/name_m] because both fn and ln would have Slavic roots that way, thus fitting together very well.
I adore [name_m]Luke[/name_m] with your surname. It’s also my favorite of the four names.
I voted for [name_m]Luke[/name_m] and [name_u]James[/name_u]: one syllable names seem to fit really well with your last name.
I think [name_m]Luke[/name_m] flows well with your surname. I don’t mind [name_u]James[/name_u] either but I only if he went by [name_u]James[/name_u]. [name_m]Henry[/name_m] is matchy with your surname. Have you considered [name_m]Henrik[/name_m]/[name_m]Henryk[/name_m]? I’m not crazy about the Eastern European spelling of [name_m]Luka[/name_m] (I prefer the Italian [name_u]Luca[/name_u]). I have an aversion to k’s and I’ll blame it on the Kardashian family.
I voted for [name_m]Luke[/name_m] - one of my favorite boy’s names. My second favorite for you is [name_u]James[/name_u].
Thanks for all the feedback. I’ve decided that I’m just not as in love with [name_m]Luka[/name_m] so it’s down to the top 3, [name_u]James[/name_u], [name_m]Henry[/name_m] & [name_m]Luke[/name_m]…
[name_u]James[/name_u] sounds great; he got my vote straight away!
I was torn between [name_u]James[/name_u] and [name_m]Henry[/name_m], but went for [name_m]Henry[/name_m] because I actually love the repeating sounds in [name_m]Henry[/name_m] Petrovski.
