[name_m]Hi[/name_m]! I can’t decide which of these names I like best. [name_f]Every[/name_f] time I try to pick I’m sad to let the others go! I’m not too concerned with popularity. Thanks ![]()
[name_f]Emeline[/name_f] (long I pronunciation)
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] (short e pronunciation)
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Josephine[/name_f]
[name_f]Nora[/name_f]
My favorites in order: [name_f]Emeline[/name_f], [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f], [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u], [name_f]Nora[/name_f], [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]
I kept playing around with my top 3! But, I like…
- [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]
- [name_f]Emeline[/name_f] (long I pronunciation)
- [name_f]Nora[/name_f]
- [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] (short e pronunciation)
- [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]
In order: [name_f]Emeline[/name_f], [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f], [name_f]Josephine[/name_f], [name_f]Nora[/name_f], [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]
I like [name_f]Nora[/name_f] the best. [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] would be the second
[name_f]Nora[/name_f] and [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u].
Thanks for the replies!
[name_f]Nora[/name_f] is my favorite. I think [name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] would make a great combo!
If I had to narrow your list I would keep [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f], [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u], and [name_f]Nora[/name_f].
I love emmaline but the various spellings/pronounciations would keep me from using it.
[name_f]Josephine[/name_f] just doesn’t seem as striking as your other choices.
I’m not sure if you already picked out a middle name but [name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] sounds lovely.
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] and [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] both have wonderful nickname options. [name_f]Evie[/name_f], [name_f]Eva[/name_f], [name_f]Eve[/name_f]…from angel to [name_u]Lynn[/name_u] the possibilities are kind of fun!
[name_f]Nora[/name_f] is very sweet but seems quite different from your other choices. Maybe [name_f]Eleanora[/name_f]?
[name_f]Nora[/name_f]
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Josephine[/name_f]
[name_f]Emeline[/name_f] (I prefer the -leen pronunciation to -line, like [name_f]Marlene[/name_f] over [name_f]Caroline[/name_f])
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] (I prefer ev-uh-lin pronunciation)
The potential differences in pronunciation is a turn-off for me, something to consider.
I like [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] the best.
My ranking:
- [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]
- [name_f]Nora[/name_f]
- [name_f]Emeline[/name_f] (long I pronunciation)
- [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] (short e pronunciation)
- [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]
Thanks again! It looks to me like [name_f]Nora[/name_f] and [name_f]Emeline[/name_f] are in the top spot with [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] coming in about third.
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] would be my pick.
