I know it’s unisex but for me it means more on the feminine side
I tend to think of it as more of a girls name, but that might be because it’s the name of a good friend of mine so I mostly associate it with her. It’s still pretty gender neutral though, and I don’t think it’s sounds out of place on guys at all. I think age has a lot to do with it honestly, most Paytons I’ve met who are older than about 25 are guys, while the younger ones are mostly girls.
It’s masculine for me, the only [name_u]Payton[/name_u] I’ve met was a man
[name_u]Payton[/name_u] masculine, [name_u]Peyton[/name_u] feminine!
I’ve met one boy and one girl (both born in the 90s so they are in the same age group) - I don’t recall if they spelled it [name_u]Payton[/name_u] or [name_u]Peyton[/name_u]. I initially think of a girl when I hear the name though
[name_u]Payton[/name_u] feels solidly gender neutral to me.
[name_u]Payton[/name_u] more feminine, [name_u]Peyton[/name_u] more masculine.
Like others, I hear it pretty often. I would be somewhat more surprised by a male [name_u]Payton[/name_u] than a male [name_u]Peyton[/name_u] or a female with any spelling.
Met multiple girls named Payton/Peyton, never heard of a boy Payton/Peyton!
[name_u]Peyton[/name_u] feels more feminine then masculine tone just because the one I know (teenager) is female.
This one is actually pretty unisex for me, but it definitely leans feminine. The one [name_u]Payton[/name_u] that I’ve met irl was female.
