I voted for [name_f]Juliette[/name_f]. I think it has more spunk, but in a dignified way. [name_f]Anna[/name_f] is nice, but may be a bit too popular since Frozen came out.
I think [name_f]Juliette[/name_f] [name_f]Elyse[/name_f]/[name_f]Elise[/name_f] or [name_f]Juliette[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] would be divine. Should the MN be [name_m]French[/name_m] as well?
You could use [name_f]Julianna[/name_f] if you can’t agree on one. (Of course, [name_f]Julianna[/name_f] is Latin.)
[name_f]Juliette[/name_f] [name_f]Arianna[/name_f]
[name_f]Juliette[/name_f] [name_u]Simone[/name_u]
[name_f]Juliette[/name_f] [name_f]Olivia[/name_f]
I really like [name_f]Anna[/name_f], but it pales in comparison to my favorite, [name_f]Anne[/name_f]. [name_f]Juliette[/name_f] feels more [name_m]French[/name_m], to me as an American, anyway. I would choose [name_f]Anne[/name_f] over both.
I adore [name_f]Anna[/name_f], cute and spunky!
[name_f]Anna[/name_f]. Simple, timeless and elegant.
[name_f]Anna[/name_f]. Simple, timeless and elegant, but still manages to feel young and fun.
I adore sweet, beautiful [name_f]Anna[/name_f]. [name_f]Anna[/name_f] is a name that can fit many different personality types. I do not feel the same about [name_f]Juliette[/name_f]. I have also never known or met a [name_f]Juliette[/name_f]/[name_f]Juliet[/name_f] (my preferred spelling) so it feels closer to a one person name for me ([name_m]Romeo[/name_m] and [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]).
They both work beautifully, you can’t go wrong. I feel [name_f]Anna[/name_f] to be a bit too simple so I voted for [name_f]Juliette[/name_f]. But that’s just my personal opinion. Pick the one that speaks to you.
I adore [name_f]Anna[/name_f]. It’s simple, more versatile, and spunky.
[name_f]Juliette[/name_f] is pretty as well but I’ve always thought it sounded like it was trying too hard.
[name_f]Anna[/name_f] just seems to be sophisticated and pretty without being over the top.
I voted [name_f]Anna[/name_f].
[name_f]Juliette[/name_f] is very pretty and feminine but I feel like it’s a just a little too frilly for my personal taste. I think it’s perfect for a little girl but I have a tough time picturing it on an adult.
[name_f]Anna[/name_f] is just so timeless and classic.
I prefer [name_f]Anna[/name_f] to [name_f]Juliette[/name_f], though I would vote for [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] over [name_f]Anna[/name_f]. Unless you live in [name_f]France[/name_f] or a predominantly [name_m]French[/name_m]-speaking area, [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] will be the more popular spelling so she may have to spell [name_f]Juliette[/name_f] out a lot. [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Juliette[/name_f] would make a lovely combination though.
Oops voted for [name_f]Anna[/name_f] but meant to vote for [name_f]Juliette[/name_f]
[name_f]Anna[/name_f] is so much nicer!
I voted [name_f]Juliette[/name_f]. I have not meet a nice [name_f]Anna[/name_f]
[name_f]Anna[/name_f] to me has always been one of those names that is so common that girls are obligated to go by their full first and last names to be told apart. For me growing up it was as hyper popular as [name_f]Katherine[/name_f], [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] and [name_f]Catelyn[/name_f]. If that is at all something you want to avoid I’d go with [name_f]Juliette[/name_f]. It just feels more individualized. [name_f]Anna[/name_f]'s kind of a one size fits all.
Out of those two, [name_f]Anna[/name_f] is my favorite. It’s a classic and you can’t really go wrong. I’ve personally only met two, both were gorgeous. One I know really well and she’s an absolute sweetheart. [name_f]Juliette[/name_f] is just so dark and femme fatale (thanks to de [name_f]Sade[/name_f]), while [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] is the more romantic one.
ETA: Most people probably don’t get the de Sade reference, so that shouldn’t put you off of it.
I voted [name_f]Juliette[/name_f], simply because it happens to be one of my favorite names. [name_f]Juliette[/name_f] makes the [name_m]French[/name_m] connection quite clear, so if you are looking for something not only bilingual, but which incorporates [name_m]French[/name_m] heritage, I think this is a great choice. Only downside (and a slight one I think) is the spelling issue of [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]/[name_f]Juliette[/name_f] in English-speaking countries, but since you say your daughter will attend [name_m]French[/name_m] schools that makes this even less of an issue.
[name_f]Anna[/name_f] is also an excellent choice, though. To me this name feels more international than just [name_m]French[/name_m]/English bilingual (though it does fill that role perfectly–it is also well used in [name_f]France[/name_f], as I’m sure you know). Having lived internationally, and being part of a multicultural family, for me personally the international aspect is a great draw to a name.
[name_f]Juliette[/name_f] all the way (although I do prefer the spelling of [name_f]Juliet[/name_f], but understand that it’s not the [name_m]French[/name_m] version). To me, [name_f]Anna[/name_f] is very plain-[name_f]Jane[/name_f] in feel, & it was used pretty heavily w/i the last couple of decades…& I knew an [name_f]Anna[/name_f] when I was a teen who was called [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Banana[/name_f] constantly. I also agree w/the pp who suggested [name_f]Anne[/name_f], w/the [name_f]Anne[/name_f] of [name_u]Green[/name_u] Gables connotation. The previous suggestion of combining the two in [name_f]Julianna[/name_f] would work, or [name_f]Juliana[/name_f], in terms of something easy to spell & pronounce both in English & in [name_m]French[/name_m]. Or perhaps [name_f]Juliette[/name_f] [name_f]Annabel[/name_f]? [name_f]Juliette[/name_f] [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f]? Whatever you decide, good luck!
I think [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Juliette[/name_f] and [name_f]Juliette[/name_f] [name_f]Anna[/name_f] are both lovely.
I’m not sure after Frozen if there are a lot of little Annas running around.
[name_f]Juliette[/name_f] feels very [name_m]French[/name_m] to me and I prefer the English [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] spelling.
If you want the name to be more [name_m]French[/name_m], then I would go with [name_f]Juliette[/name_f]. If you want something more Anglicized, then [name_f]Anna[/name_f] would get my vote. They are both gorgeous names, you can’t go wrong with either.
I voted for [name_f]Juliette[/name_f], just because I like it. Both names are good, solid girls names.
Good luck!
