[name_f]My[/name_f] husband and I have eliminated two names from our good to go list (and have eliminated everything else from our three other complicated lists). Which goes best with the last name ‘[name_u]West[/name_u] [name_u]Brook[/name_u]’? Please match up your favorite with one of these middle names: [name_f]Diane[/name_f], [name_u]Jean[/name_u], [name_f]Margaret[/name_f], or [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] (None of these names can be used as a first name or changed in any way)
Please do not change anything about these names; they are completely set in stone (including spelling and nickname):
I like [name_f]Delia[/name_f] best with [name_m]Westbrook[/name_m]. [name_f]My[/name_f] favorite is [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] [name_m]Westbrook[/name_m].
pp’s suggestion of [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] is really cute! I like the nn [name_f]Evie[/name_f] the most, so my vote will go to [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] [name_u]West[/name_u] [name_u]Brook[/name_u].
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] - doesn’t go perfectly with [name_f]Diane[/name_f], [name_u]Jean[/name_u], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] or [name_f]Margaret[/name_f], but the best fit is [name_f]Diane[/name_f]. [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] [name_f]Diane[/name_f] [name_u]West[/name_u] [name_u]Brook[/name_u].
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u], [name_f]Suzanna[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u], [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u], [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] all work. I chose [name_u]Jean[/name_u] because when you have a 3/4 syllable fn and a longer LN, it’s best to to have a short MN.
[name_f]My[/name_f] order of preference: [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f], [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f], [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f], [name_f]Suzanna[/name_f], but they are all nice names!
Thank you! Our last name isn’t actually spelled “[name_u]West[/name_u] [name_u]Brook[/name_u]” (it’s really one word with an e on the end) I just spelled it this way so it wouldn’t be googled. Not sure if that would make a difference to how the name you like looks or not, but just thought I’d put that in there since I forgot to in the original posting part!
[name_f]Suzanna[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] is definitely a winner. [name_f]Suzanna[/name_f] is all-around one of the best names so I think that it would be the best choice. I wish you well:)
Oh to me, it made a difference, before I submitted my post, I had originally typed it like so, “[name_u]West[/name_u] [name_u]Brook[/name_u]” but the more I looked at it, the more I felt it was just two separate name on not a last name, so I deleted the space off. Good luck choosing a name! Are you close by due date?
Of the first names, the only one I don’t love in terms of sound with the last name is [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] (or was it [name_f]Rosamond[/name_f], sorry!). The other four are good to go I think. [name_f]My[/name_f] favorites are [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f], [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f], and [name_f]Suzanna[/name_f]. I think they are the most striking and versatile, and they also transition well into adulthood. I’m just not sold on [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] “[name_f]Tilly[/name_f].” So…
(I’m having a hard time fitting [name_f]Diane[/name_f] with any of these, sorry!)
[name_f]My[/name_f] top three, in no particular order, are:
[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] W.
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] W.
[name_f]Suzanna[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] W.
([name_f]Suzanna[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] W.)
Good luck!
PS I like [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] in the middle for a [name_u]June[/name_u] baby. It means [name_f]Pearl[/name_f], which is the [name_u]June[/name_u] birthstone.
Aww! [name_f]My[/name_f] mother is due [name_u]June[/name_u] 17/18th (it’s looking more like the 17th)! It’s a little sister for us. I keep thinking it’s coming up fast too. But then I forget about [name_f]May[/name_f]… always seem to forget about the month of [name_f]May[/name_f], lol.
We actually find ourselves “secretly” leaning towards two of the names but neither of us actually want to admit it haha! I wasn’t aware that [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] meant [name_f]Pearl[/name_f]; I am kind of leaning towards that or [name_u]Jean[/name_u] as a middle name since those are the two with the MOST importance to me/us (though [name_f]Diane[/name_f] and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] are also important too)
I keep forgetting about [name_f]May[/name_f] as well! In a way, I want it to be here faster but I’m also scared for it to be here faster! (I also kind of wish I knew what we are having since the whole naming process is so stressful, it would be kind of nice to only have to stress about one gender rather than two)
I love [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] the best from your list, but I fear that [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] [name_u]West[/name_u]-[name_u]Brook[/name_u] would be too many nouns in a name.
[name_f]My[/name_f] next pick is [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] nn [name_f]Evie[/name_f], though it’s a tough choice because I like the nns you have picked out for all of your names. I just like [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] as a full name better than the others. And, [name_f]Evie[/name_f] [name_u]West[/name_u]-[name_u]Brook[/name_u] sounds really cute!
I’ll nominate [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] and [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] as combos.
I also think [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] and [name_f]Suzanna[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] would be pretty sweet combinations.
