[name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Johan[/name_m] [name_m]Felix[/name_m] or [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]William[/name_m] [name_m]Felix[/name_m]/[name_m]Felix[/name_m] [name_m]William[/name_m] gets my vote!

I adore [name_m]Grant[/name_m] and [name_m]Felix[/name_m]. I prefer the flow of [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Felix[/name_m] [name_m]William[/name_m]. Although honoring trumps flow. Is there a loved one you feel needs to be honored sooner than the others? For example a close loved one that passed over honoring dad.

I like the flow of [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Felix[/name_m] [name_m]William[/name_m] with the 1-2-3 syllable increase! I think katinka’s suggestion to switch the order to [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]William[/name_m] [name_m]Felix[/name_m] is very dashing. [name_m]William[/name_m] dresses it up by separating the -nt on [name_m]Grant[/name_m] and the hard -x ending on [name_m]Felix[/name_m]. I also think that [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Felix[/name_m] [name_m]William[/name_m] could sound a bit like a hyphenated first ([name_m]Grant[/name_m]-[name_m]Felix[/name_m] [name_m]William[/name_m]) while the other sounds like a proper double middle. Either way, [name_m]William[/name_m] is my pick! Absolutely love [name_m]Grant[/name_m], too. Great choice

In order, I like:

  • [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Felix[/name_m] [name_m]Paul[/name_m]
  • [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Felix[/name_m] [name_m]William[/name_m]
  • [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Johan[/name_m] [name_m]Felix[/name_m]
  • [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Adam[/name_m] [name_m]Felix[/name_m]

All four honor names are equally important to us. My first pick would have been one of my husband’s names but he dislikes his name and vetoed those.

I’m kinda on the fence when it comes to [name_m]Paul[/name_m] though, because I really like the sound of [name_m]Bennett[/name_m] [name_m]Paul[/name_m]. It was one of the names on our list and might be something I want to use if we have another boy in the future. But on the other hand, is it stupid to think like that? I mean I can’t be sure that we will have another boy or that we will use [name_m]Bennett[/name_m] for him (or if [name_m]Grant[/name_m] and [name_m]Bennett[/name_m] would even fit together for brothers).

I definitely see what you mean about it sounding like a hyphenated first name. But it doesn’t really bother me. The 1-2-3 syllable flow is closer to something that you would find in my home country than 1-3-2 so it appeals to me more. I guess it just sounds more familiar.

It is a very hard decision. Would you rather have a guarantee of using [name_m]Paul[/name_m] (as a middle now) or end up maybe never being able to use it? It could be upsetting either way. Does one upset you more than the other?

BTW I think [name_m]Grant[/name_m] and [name_m]Bennett[/name_m] make a great sibling set.

[name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Johan[/name_m] ([name_f]Yo[/name_f]-han) [name_m]Felix[/name_m] has the best flow and feels so international and smart, I love it!

I really love the way [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Johan[/name_m] [name_m]Felix[/name_m] sounds; it’s handsome and flows so well.

I think I’m currently leaning towards saving [name_m]Paul[/name_m] for later. We won’t be using all of our honor names anyway and since they are all pretty much equal to us, it’s not that big of a deal if [name_m]Paul[/name_m] ends up not being used.

Thanks everyone for your votes and comments so far. Looks like [name_m]William[/name_m] and [name_m]Johan[/name_m] are the top 2, those are also my two favorites. Keep voting and commenting!

I really like [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Felix[/name_m] [name_m]Paul[/name_m] and [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Adam[/name_m] [name_m]Felix[/name_m]. I love PPs’ suggestions of [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]William[/name_m] [name_m]Felix[/name_m] though, and would have voted for that had it been an option! [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Felix[/name_m] [name_m]William[/name_m] sounds a bit off flow-wise to me. [name_m]Bennett[/name_m] [name_m]Paul[/name_m] is a great combo btw, and would go well with [name_m]Grant[/name_m]. Most people on Nameberry don’t like this, but personally I think it could be nice for both boys to have [name_m]Paul[/name_m] as their middle name/one of their middle names if you want to use it this time and be sure of having a chance, and then would also still want to use it with [name_m]Bennett[/name_m].

My faves are 1. [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Johan[/name_m] [name_m]Felix[/name_m] and 2. [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Felix[/name_m] [name_m]Paul[/name_m]… depending on last name.
