Want to honour grandparents - one was [name_f]Jenny[/name_f] ([name_f]Janet[/name_f]- but dislike [name_f]Janet[/name_f]) and the other is [name_m]Joe[/name_m] ([name_m]Joseph[/name_m]).
I like both nn [name_f]Janie[/name_f] and [name_f]Joanie[/name_f]…
To go with [name_m]Alec[/name_m] ([name_m]Alby[/name_m]) [name_f]Edith[/name_f] ([name_f]Edie[/name_f]) and [name_m]Orson[/name_m] ([name_u]Sonny[/name_u]).
I like [name_f]Jane[/name_f]. And [name_f]Janie[/name_f] makes a very sweet classic nickname.
I like how classic [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is compared to [name_u]Joan[/name_u] given how to me [name_u]Joan[/name_u] is a bit dated! [name_f]Edith[/name_f] and [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is just darling, and I think it suits the sibling set the best too!
I prefer [name_f]Jane[/name_f]. I think it matches your kids’ names better and I love [name_f]Janie[/name_f]!
[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]!
Personally I prefer [name_u]Joan[/name_u]
Jane! I like both names but [name_u]Sonny[/name_u] and [name_f]Joanie[/name_f] are a little too close.
Jane! I do also love [name_u]Joan[/name_u], but I think [name_f]Jane[/name_f], and especially [name_f]Janie[/name_f], sounds better with the sibset. I know a middle schooler named [name_f]Jane[/name_f] who goes by [name_f]Janie[/name_f], and she wears it very well! Good luck!
We are using [name_f]Jane[/name_f] as a middle for our daughter after my husband’s aunt. So obviously I like that one!
But I like [name_u]Joan[/name_u] a lot as well – it always makes me think of [name_u]Joan[/name_u] of [name_m]Arc[/name_m]!
They both feel classic (not dated) to me.
Jane all the way. [name_u]Joan[/name_u] is still very dated to me. I am ok w the nn [name_f]Joanie[/name_f], though. Other J names I like:
Julianna
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f]
[name_f]Jolie[/name_f]
[name_u]Julianne[/name_u]
[name_f]Julia[/name_f]
Jane for me! I think she’s stunning with your other kiddos.
I love [name_f]Joanie[/name_f] for you.
Maybe [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] ‘[name_f]Joanie[/name_f]/Joni’
I really like both, but slightly prefer [name_f]Jane[/name_f]
My vote goes to [name_f]Jane[/name_f]!
Love [name_f]Jane[/name_f]
Joan has been a big name crush of mine this year and was a hard contender for my recently born kiddo.
I think they’re both great but [name_f]Jane[/name_f] has more of a sweetness and [name_u]Joan[/name_u] comes off as stronger. [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is timeless, and to me [name_u]Joan[/name_u] is vintage and about to make a comeback.
If you want to honour both relatives, what about [name_u]Jean[/name_u]. [name_u]Jean[/name_u], [name_f]Jane[/name_f] and [name_u]Joan[/name_u] are all different variations of the same name. I must admit, I do prefer [name_u]Jean[/name_u] as it has been a family name .
Both are sweet names & I think [name_u]Joan[/name_u] is due a revival for sure but my favourite is [name_f]Jane[/name_f].
Jane is just understated, elegant and timeless. She has a gorgeous meaning ‘G-d is gracious’ and feels classy. I think [name_f]Jane[/name_f] sounds beautiful with [name_m]Alec[/name_m], [name_f]Edith[/name_f] and [name_m]Orson[/name_m] very whimsical something from a storybook.
I LOVE [name_u]Joan[/name_u] and it feels so fresh
