I think [name]Amelia[/name] is the prettiest and elegant sounding of the two. It has a nice flow and is soft sounding, whereas [name]Charlotte[/name], while pretty is short sounding and the -otte ending is kinda harsh. But you cant go wrong with either.

I voted for [name]Charlotte[/name] because it is more distinctive sounding to me. Very few girl names have the sounds “[name]Char[/name]” and “lotte;” whereas, a number of names contain the sounds “Am,” “el” and 'ia" in varying combinations.

I think they both age the best and are both beautiful, but [name]Charlotte[/name] is my clear favorite. I love [name]Charlotte[/name] to death, but I’ve never really seen the appeal in [name]Amelia[/name], sorry. It is a great name, though, and I love the sound-alike [name]Emilia[/name]. :slight_smile:

Adding to my earlier comments: [name]Charlotte[/name] would have no spelling or pronunciation issues, but [name]Amelia[/name] would.

Gah! I don’t know how to vote. I think [name]Amelia[/name] is the more beautiful, but [name]Charlotte[/name] the more elegant.

I agree with everwaiteing about the components of [name]Amelia[/name]. I [name]ADORE[/name] the name [name]Charlotte[/name]. Very elegant and regal.

[name]Both[/name] names are just as beautiful but I voted for [name]Charlotte[/name] as I think it has more edge.
