[name]Hi[/name]!! I really love [name]Rowan[/name] [name]August[/name], but I also like [name]Roman[/name] and [name]Dawson[/name]. Honestly not so keen on the other options listed. [name]Just[/name] wanted to mention that [name]Rowan[/name] is a tree, so not sure if [name]Rowan[/name] Barch sounds a bit like [name]Rowan[/name] branch? Or [name]Rowan[/name] [name]Birch[/name] (another tree)? But I am not sure that people will hear/think that when they hear the name.
Most people don’t know what [name]Rowan[/name] means, so I’m not too concerned about the “double meaning”, but thanks for pointing it out!
My hesitation with [name]Rowan[/name] comes from the fact that its being taken over by the girls. SO SAD! I really didn’t want to use a unisex name…
My solution was [name]Roman[/name], but my husband thinks it is corny because my family is VERY Italian. I’m not sure that it is a big deal since my husband’s family is not at all. Our child won’t grow up with the uber Italian last name that I did. Maybe it is a cute homage? Or is it corny?
I quite like [name]Roman[/name] [name]August[/name], and I think it is a nice way to honour your Italian heritage, especially given your fathers name. I think if you were suggesting [name]Cesare[/name] [name]August[/name] it might be a tad too much, but [name]Roman[/name] [name]August[/name] is fine in that regard.
I totally understand what you mean about [name]Rowan[/name] being taken over by the girls!! I think eventually there may not be any boys only names left!! :(. I really do like [name]Rowan[/name], but if you don’t want a unisex name I would avoid it.
Good luck!!
