Finding out boy or girl next week! We thought we had the names picked out but new ones keep popping up. Ahhh!
I tend to prefer spunky girl names but I realize these styles are all over the place so I need some opinions. Which is your favorite/favorites from this list? Which one has the most spunk?
[name]Corinne[/name]
[name]Ramona[/name]
[name]Greta[/name]
[name]Rhett[/name]
[name]Helena[/name] (love the nickname [name]Leni[/name])
I agree that [name]Ramona[/name] is pretty spunky, probably because of the [name]Beverly[/name] [name]Cleary[/name] character. I think [name]Greta[/name] also has some spunk.
[name]Helena[/name] is more buttoned down, serious name to me but it is very pretty. [name]Corinne[/name] is frillier (to me) and makes me picture a wealthy type of person but it is also a pretty name.
I don’t really like [name]Rhett[/name] on a girl. It is too short and harsh for me.
All of your names are pretty. I would use [name]Rhett[/name] for a boy though.
Good luck!
[name]Greta[/name] and [name]Ramona[/name] seem to be spunky. [name]Corinne[/name] is really lovely and I’ve had it in the middle spot on my list. I don’t care for [name]Helena[/name] much and it doesn’t seem spunky at all.
I love, love, love [name]Helena[/name] nn [name]Leni[/name]! I’m currently debating between [name]Helena[/name] or the more spunky, unexpected Greek original, [name]Eleni[/name]. I really love both. But if you’re going for spunk, I think [name]Leni[/name] has it! It’s such a cool name, imo.
A very dear friend of mine has a little sister named Rhetta J@ne–while [name]Rhett[/name] seems masculine to me, I think Rhetta would be a fun, spunky choice, as well.
I like [name]Helena[/name] nn [name]Leni[/name] - [name]Helena[/name] is beautiful and classical, and [name]Leni[/name] is cute and very spunky.
[name]Greta[/name] is also spunky but still elegant - lovely and unusual choice.
To me Ramona has the most spunk and is my favorite.
PS I don’t see how anyone could see Helena as having the least bit of spunk. Helena is beautiful and classic, but by no means is it spunky, I’d say it’s pretty toned down and subdued.
[name]Corinne[/name] - [name]Love[/name] it. Pretty and uncommon. I worked with a [name]Corinna[/name], and she went by [name]Cory[/name]. She is a super nice person and the name has always had a good association for me.
[name]Ramona[/name] - Not my cup of tea. I do like [name]Ramona[/name] from [name]Scott[/name] Pilgrim, but it is not enough to sway me towards the name. The most spunky on your list for sure!
[name]Greta[/name] - I can’t get into it, but there is nothing wrong with it.
[name]Rhett[/name] - I kind of like it on a boy.
[name]Helena[/name] - I 100% love this name when pronounced Heh-lay-nuh. Not a fan when pronounced Heh-len-uh.
My favorite from your list would be [name]Corinne[/name]. The spunkiest name would probably be [name]Rhett[/name]. Given that it is traditionally a male name, it might work best as a nickname.
I thought for sure I was the only one who thought [name]Greta[/name] had some spunk to it. Nice to know some of you feel the same way. I agree that [name]Rhett[/name] is harsh sounding so I love the suggestion of Rhetta. Interesting to hear the different perceptions of [name]Helena[/name].
It seems like [name]Corinne[/name] is the softest of the list so it’s in last place at this point.
So far [name]Greta[/name] is my top name followed by [name]Ramona[/name]. Thanks everyone, this really helped!
