Which is your favourite name between these and why? I feel they are similar in some respects but not sure which I prefer.
love erin!! so sweet and underused!
Iād say [name_u]Erin[/name_u], I guess it has a nicer vibe for me personally. I like both though
Definitely [name_f]Elowen[/name_f]!
[name_f]Elowen[/name_f]! [name_u]Erin[/name_u] sounds tired to me because i know so many Millenial-age Erins.
[name_u]Erin[/name_u] is my favourite!
I love how sweet, understated and well tailored she sounds. I have never met an [name_u]Erin[/name_u] so she feels like a rare gem as sheās easy to spell, pronounce, feels very recognisable however is hardly used. I love how [name_u]Erin[/name_u] is associated with [name_u]Ireland[/name_u] and has this green sprightly energy attached. I think [name_u]Erin[/name_u] is beautiful and I completely understand why my gorgeous sister loves this one.
Ahh, this is so tough! I feel like Iāve loved the sharp, sweet [name_u]Erin[/name_u] for longer, but [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] is just more magical, warm, whimsical and strong - so, I think Iāll say [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] for now, but [name_u]Erin[/name_u] is lovely too
[name_f]Elowen[/name_f], absolutely. Itās glamorous and glittering while [name_u]Erin[/name_u] is dull and lackluster.
[name_f]Elowen[/name_f]. [name_u]Erin[/name_u] is not my style but pretty . I like nn [name_f]Elly[/name_f]. I almost chose [name_u]Erin[/name_u] though because [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] is unusual and [name_u]Erin[/name_u] is a simple classic .
[name_f]Elowen[/name_f]! Itās soft and sweet, reminds of sunny meadows.
I think [name_u]Erin[/name_u] is under-appreciated and [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] is over-appreciated.
Understated - great call.
Elowen
Ooh, they are both lovely fresh, lilting, slightly mystical names which give me images of rugged coastlines, seabirds and wild meadows.
[name_u]Erin[/name_u] feels a little bit 90s and [name_f]Gen[/name_f] X to me - I know a fair few in my age group and older (Iām 30) but that possibly depends where youāre located. But it has an easier pronunciation and [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] feels like itās having a āmomentā (at least on Nameberry) which might put you off?
[name_f]Elowen[/name_f] is fresher for this generation, more interesting and magical, plus it has various fun nicknames like [name_f]Elle[/name_f], [name_f]Ellie[/name_f], [name_f]Lola[/name_f], [name_f]Wenna[/name_f]. Iād want to use the original Cornish pn myself. I think it would cause more spelling/pn issues than [name_u]Erin[/name_u] (having said that, itās not like [name_f]Siobhan[/name_f] or something, itās not too difficult, just harder than Erin).
Both are nice but [name_u]Erin[/name_u]. The [name_f]El[/name_f] beginning in [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] feels heavy to me whereas [name_u]Erin[/name_u] feels light, happy, and breezy.
[name_u]Erin[/name_u]! [name_u]Love[/name_u] it. [name_f]My[/name_f] only negative about this name is when people pronounce it the same as āAaronā If itās pronounced Eh-rin, I love it!
[name_f]My[/name_f] name is [name_u]Erin[/name_u] - for what itās worth i have never loved my name but I have never disliked it either. One thing I do not like is that the verbal pronounciation sounds identical to the male [name_m]Aaron[/name_m] (iām in the midwest US) -as a result I avoided gender neutral names for my kids. Although i donāt hear of many male Aarons these days so might not be a concern. The other interesting thing iāve noticed is if Iām saying my name in a loud atmosphere people think I said [name_u]Anne[/name_u] unless I clearly enunciate. That being said none of this is a deal breaker and I donāt want to dissuade you from using it if you feel drawn to it. I donāt feel like itās dated and I do think it fits well at all ages. Also donāt put too much weight in others opinions as you choose the name - it definitely should be more of a heart choice than a head choice.
[name_u]Erin[/name_u]
I feel like [name_u]Erin[/name_u] is more unexpected ! [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] is beautiful and I love the sound , but Wllie is very popular in my circles
