I am stuck! I have 4 names and love them all- would love to know which is your favourite. Last name is [name]Baldwin[/name]. Brother’s name is [name]Xavier[/name]
Thanks
[name]Scarlett[/name]–Cannot get past a name that begins with scar, prefer [name]Juliet[/name] for this ending.
[name]Emerson[/name]–Very unisex compared to your others.
[name]Isla[/name]–Trendy in a way that [name]Amelie[/name] isn’t. But it’s my 2nd favorite. Very elegant.
Overall, I feel [name]Amelie[/name] would provide a girl and a grown woman with the widest range of possibilities and attributes.
[name]Scarlett[/name] - As far as the ending goes I prefer [name]Violet[/name], but [name]Scarlett[/name]'s nice in its way. I also like [name]Saffron[/name], which is less popular.
[name]Emerson[/name] - Not feminine to me, and very “of the moment,” in an unfortunate way.
[name]Isla[/name] - Favourite of these.
[name]Amelie[/name] - A bit fussy compared to some other A names but pleasant.
I really like [name]Isla[/name], then [name]Scarlett[/name], then [name]Amelie[/name]. I don’t like [name]Emerson[/name] at all.
[name]Scarlett[/name] - I also love [name]Scarlett[/name], but since I tend to shorten my kids names when I’m talking to them I couldn’t get over calling my little girl “Scar.”
[name]Emerson[/name] - Not feminine at all, although it does go well with your son’s name. The only problem is that people might think you have two boys upon hearing your kids’ names.
[name]Isla[/name] - [name]LOVE[/name]. My problem is that some ignorant people may not know how to spell it or mispronounce it.
[name]Amelie[/name] - Like this one and it also goes well with your son’s name. At first glance, I thought it was [name]Amelia[/name], which is also cute.
So much to consider with each one!
[name]Scarlett[/name] seems to go best with [name]Xavier[/name]. It’s a name, but it’s quirky and fun. I personally think of [name]Scarlett[/name] O’[name]Hara[/name] from Gone With the Wind, not a scar. [name]Amelie[/name] is [name]Emily[/name] fancified, which might prove difficult. I’ve never liked [name]Isla[/name]; makes me think of an island mispelled. And [name]Emerson[/name] really doesn’t go with [name]Xavier[/name] at all.
So, [name]Scarlett[/name] is my choice
I concur with the others in the way that I don’t care for [name]Emerson[/name] at all. Your other choices are pretty and like stripedsocks, I love the name [name]Saffron[/name].
[name]Scarlett[/name] - I like it a lot. The [name]Scarlett[/name] that I know goes by [name]Scout[/name], which makes an interesting nickname choice.
[name]Emerson[/name] - I don’t like it. I know that it is getting more popular for the girls, but I always think of a boy.
[name]Isla[/name] - [name]Love[/name] it. Pretty and simple, but unique.
[name]Amelie[/name] - I like it a lot, too, but I think [name]Amelie[/name] [name]Baldwin[/name] sounds a little off.
[name]Isla[/name] [name]Amelie[/name] [name]Baldwin[/name] would be gorgeous. Or [name]Scarlett[/name] [name]Isla[/name] (or [name]Isla[/name] [name]Scarlett[/name]) would also be pretty.
I ranked them from my favorite to least favorite:
[name]Scarlett[/name] - I really love this name. It’s spunky and pretty.
[name]Amelie[/name] - I like this a lot. My only caveat is that I think it will be easily mistaken for [name]Amelia[/name], since it is so popular right now.
[name]Isla[/name] - Pretty, but has a high potential for mispronunciation and a lifetime of corrections. (I did not know until yesterday it was not pronounced IS-la…)
[name]Emerson[/name] - I just don’t like boy names on girls, even though I know this leads to nicknames like [name]Emmy[/name].
