[name_f]Flavia[/name_f] - family name linked to a love story that has been passed down every generation of my family. This was the name of my [name_f]Nonna[/name_f]'s grandaunt who was a widowed countess and left her title and wealth and everything to run away with her lover. I also how it links to very strong and powerful women of Ancient [name_m]Roman[/name_m] history (for the better or the worse).
[name_f]Leona[/name_f] - I love how fierce, strong and feminine this one is. Itâs not a family name, but it reminds me a bit of [name_m]Leonardo[/name_m] da [name_m]Vinci[/name_m] and my [name_f]Nonna[/name_f]'s family are from close to the region he is said to have grown up in.
[name_f]Ilaria[/name_f] - I love [name_f]Ilaria[/name_f] a lot. I think sheâs a bit more feminine than the other names, but I love that she links to the word hilarious because Iâm an amateur comedienne and am very involved in my local drama club, usually favoring the comedies
[name_f]Flavia[/name_f] ⌠The story is such a great one to pass on! [name_f]Flavia[/name_f] is more difficult to wear than the other names, but I think it is a name a child could grow into and make her own.
[name_f]Leona[/name_f] ⌠This is such a strong name. Since this doesnât have quite the history for you as the other names do, I would probably consider this choice my least favorite. Still, it is a very straightforward and wearable choice.
[name_f]Ilaria[/name_f] ⌠This is my favorite! It feels so wearable and passes on your own legacy and interests without placing expectations on your daughter to do the same. It is beautifully feminine, has historical roots that donât outshine the beauty of the name by itself, looks beautiful, sounds delightful, and has so much nickname potential. In addition, I believe this is such a confident name. I find this choice to be especially great for a first child as this name feels like a beautiful crown to bestow on a child and keeps open so many options for future children.
Are there any other names that you connect to as deeply? If not, I think any of these should be your final picks, though I am openly rooting for [name_f]Ilaria[/name_f]!
The only name I really like from your list is [name_f]Leora[/name_f]. [name_f]Flavia[/name_f] is really not for me (it reminds me too much of flavour) and [name_f]Ilaria[/name_f] always looks made up to me, even though I know it isnât.
[name_f]Leona[/name_f] for me, but [name_f]Flavia[/name_f] for you⌠If that makes sense. While I personally love [name_f]Leona[/name_f] the best, [name_f]Flavia[/name_f] would be an awesome name for you to give to your child because of its history.
[name_f]Flavia[/name_f]!!! It was a common choice for babies which are now my momâs age here in [name_u]Brazil[/name_u]. After a quick look at the IBGE stats, it seems that nowdays [name_f]Flavia[/name_f] ranks #63 in all Brazilian population (and not just newborns).
I love [name_f]Leona[/name_f] and [name_f]Ilaria[/name_f]. They really have a lot of flare to them.
I think your family history with the name [name_f]Flavia[/name_f] is so interesting, however it is not a name I personally like the sound of when put next to [name_f]Leona[/name_f] and [name_f]Ilaria[/name_f].
[name_f]Ilaria[/name_f] is my favorite. Itâs so beautiful and I love your explanation of its significance to you. [name_f]Flavia[/name_f] has a really interesting background for you as well, and [name_f]Leona[/name_f] is beautiful, but [name_f]Ilaria[/name_f] has both to me.
[name_f]Flavia[/name_f] is the clear winner here for me! Itâs a fabulous name, with an amazing backstory and a fantastic literal meaning too. I really love it.
[name_f]Flavia[/name_f] and [name_f]Ilaria[/name_f] really shine. I love that both have such close personal connections for you, too. Iâm having a hard time picking between them, but perhaps⌠[name_f]Flavia[/name_f].
Iâm loving [name_f]Flavia[/name_f] for you. It shares enough sounds with names that are popular right now that I think it would be quite wearable. And with all the significanceâwhy not?
I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] both [name_f]Leona[/name_f] and [name_f]Ilaria[/name_f]. [name_f]Ilaria[/name_f] would be on my own list if it wasnât the Italian version of my own name ([name_u]Hillary[/name_u]). I always kind of wished my name was [name_f]Ilaria[/name_f] instead! Itâs gorgeous. [name_u]Love[/name_u] that the meaning connects with something you love, too.
I adore [name_f]Leona[/name_f], and as you can see in my signature, itâs on my own shortlist as well. It has such a strong, distinct look and sound. I love the âlionessâ meaning, the L beginning, and the A ending. It just checks all the boxes for me that the ideal name would have: strength, beauty, and elegance.
[name_f]Ilaria[/name_f] and [name_f]Leona[/name_f] are both excellent choices :).
