Please don’t use [name]Alexis[/name], it’s just so masculine! It’s common across Europe on boy’s and if your daughter was to leave the US (where I am just assuming you are from) people would be very confused to meet a female [name]Alexis[/name].
[name]Alexia[/name].
I love it.
[name]Alexia[/name].
I love it.
[name]Alexia[/name] is a term for an inability to read after a stroke. I mean, that’s not widespread knowledge, it doesn’t have to rule it out, but it would rule it out for me and anyone with medical training who meets her might think of it (although, most people don’t have medical training).
[name]Alexa[/name] is simpler and sleeker and I like it best.
I’m in [name]Britain[/name] and I knew a female [name]Alexis[/name]. I don’t see a reason for it to be a problem in Europe. Unless that puts it in the unisex category for u.
I think it depends on ur surname. Also previous and future children’s names.
Out of interest, why [name]Lexi[/name]? I love it tho
[name]Alexa[/name] is the best of those. I would either go much longer and antique to contrast with [name]Lexi[/name] as the poppy, cool nickname - i.e. [name]Alexandra[/name] or [name]Alexandrina[/name], or keep it sleek and simple with [name]Alexa[/name].
[name]Alexis[/name] has a bit of a rough image in my hometown. I know its probably not seen as quite that way everywhere but it just isn’t something I’d want for my daughter.
I really like [name]Lexi[/name], but I don’t necessarily care for any of the ‘A’ names you’ve suggested. Have you considered using [name]Lexi[/name] on its own? I think it sounds great by itself
Thanks everyone.
OMG. I looked up “[name]Alexia[/name]” Oh gosh, I wouldn’t want to use that! Haha, THANKS!
What about doing [name]Alexandra[/name] or [name]Alexandria[/name]? Then she has plenty of nicknames!
[name]Alex[/name], [name]Ali[/name], [name]Alexis[/name], [name]Alexa[/name], [name]Alexi[/name], [name]Lexi[/name], [name]Lexa[/name], [name]Xandra[/name], [name]Lex[/name], etc…
But I like [name]Alexia[/name].
I like [name]Alexa[/name]. It’s pretty and simple and cute.
I like [name]Alexia[/name] the best, followed by [name]Alexa[/name]. I am not really a fan of any of them, tbh–[name]Lexine[/name] is my favorite full name for [name]Lexi[/name]. I’ve also heard of [name]Lennox[/name] nn [name]Lexi[/name], but I’m not sure I would do that. [name]Lennox[/name] does seem a bit sexually ambiguous, but I think it works much better for a boy. I like the international variants [name]Alessia[/name] and [name]Olesya[/name], I think you could use [name]Lexi[/name] as a nn for any of those, especially with a MN that has a hard “K” sound. [name]Alessia[/name] [name]Katherine[/name] or [name]Olesya[/name] [name]Klara[/name] or something, nn [name]Lexi[/name]. I think [name]Alexa[/name] seems to suit your style more, though.
I voted for [name]Alexa[/name], but I don’t care for any of them very much. I would rpefer something like [name]Alexandria[/name] or [name]Alexandrine[/name]- [name]Alexa[/name], [name]Alexis[/name], and [name]Alexia[/name] have a very 90’s vibe to me (sorry!)
[name]Hope[/name] that helps!
I think it also depends what sounds nicer with your last name.
I’m really not crazy about any of the choices but I voted [name]Alexis[/name].
However, I think [name]Alexandra[/name] is a great way to get the nickname [name]Lexi[/name]!
