We are having a hard time deciding between three middle name combos for [name]Emilia[/name]. I want something to honor my side of the family since [name]Charlie[/name]'s honors DH’s side. So, here are the options:
[name]Emilia[/name] [name]Grace[/name] Coinne- For a while we thought this was it but [name]Grace[/name] just seems so overused. It doesn’t honor family and it just feels like a filler to me now. [name]Corinne[/name] is a family name.
[name]Emilia[/name] [name]Hope[/name] [name]Corinne[/name]- I have a thing for virtue names. This was thought up to replace [name]Grace[/name] and I like it! [name]Hope[/name] is significant to us but [name]Emilia[/name] [name]Hope[/name] [name]Corinne[/name] seems so frilly and feminine. I want something strong.
[name]Emilia[/name] [name]Ruby[/name] [name]Corinne[/name]- The current front runner. [name]Ruby[/name] is both my mom and my birthstone. I like the fiery image [name]Ruby[/name] gives off and I think it goes well with the other two names.
Thoughts? She will go by [name]Millie[/name] most of the time as we adore the nickname but I don’t mind the flow of [name]Millie[/name] (or [name]Mila[/name]) with the flow of her middle name.
[name]Emilia[/name] [name]Grace[/name] is very pretty, but if it feels like a filler to you there’s no reason to keep it on the list. It’s just as feminine as [name]Hope[/name], but [name]Emilia[/name] [name]Hope[/name] [name]Corinne[/name] is less expected.
That said, it sounds like [name]Ruby[/name] has the most personal significance. [name]Ruby[/name] [name]Corinne[/name] strikes me as fiestier and more vintage than [name]Emilia[/name], but altogether it works.
I actually like the sound of both [name]Emilia[/name] [name]Hope[/name] [name]Corinne[/name] and [name]Emilia[/name] [name]Ruby[/name] [name]Corinne[/name] better than [name]Emilia[/name] [name]Grace[/name] [name]Corinne[/name]. The fact that [name]Hope[/name] and [name]Ruby[/name] both have personal connections, while [name]Grace[/name] does not seals the deal for me, personally.
The quality of hope is very strong in my mind, and I find the word is both phonetically and semantically unfrilly. Still, between [name]Hope[/name] and [name]Ruby[/name], my preference would be for [name]Ruby[/name] - it feels more upbeat and happy. As they’re both beautiful, I think you should go with the one with more personal resonance to you.
I don’t think you could go wrong with either [name]Emilia[/name] [name]Hope[/name] [name]Corinne[/name] or [name]Emilia[/name] [name]Ruby[/name] [name]Corinne[/name]. I prefer [name]Hope[/name] to [name]Ruby[/name] personally, but I love the significance [name]Ruby[/name] has for you. I too have entertained the thought of using a birthstone to honor my mother, I think it’s a great idea. I’m sure it will have great meaning to your little girl that she is connected to you and your mother by a meaningful namesake.
I would probably just use one middle name. [name]Emilia[/name] [name]Corinne[/name] sounds fine on its own and I just love both of those names. If you’re set on having two middles, go with [name]Ruby[/name] for the significance. All three options sound equally good.
[name]Emilia[/name] nn [name]Milly[/name] is on my own list as well, it’s gorgeous. Out of your three combos, I think [name]Emilia[/name] [name]Ruby[/name] [name]Corinne[/name] has the best flow, and I love that it’s the most significant name to you as well.
