I think [name]Harley[/name] is fine for a boy. And I love the mn [name]Galloway[/name]! I also like [name]Gallagher[/name].
Wdyt of [name]Huxley[/name]? Similar and still gets the the nn lee! [name]Kingsley[/name] (my sons mn), [name]Eleazer[/name] (has the [name]Lee[/name] sound in it), Kipling could be [name]Kip[/name] or [name]Lee[/name].
I think [name]Hartley[/name] does have a much more feminine sound, but could work for a boy. I like nn [name]Hart[/name] and [name]Lee[/name]; I think most kids will get over the hart/fart thing before too long, but [name]Lee[/name] is pretty teasing-proof. Since [name]Hartley[/name] is unisex, however, I’d stick to a mn that is more distinctively male. I love the sound and significance of [name]Hartley[/name] [name]Keene[/name]. I also think [name]Hartley[/name] [name]Lorenzo[/name] and [name]Hartley[/name] [name]Walsh[/name]. I like Carr, but find that repeated “ar” sound a bit too prominent.
That said, I prefer [name]Baxter[/name], [name]Berkeley[/name], and [name]Leander[/name] over [name]Hartley[/name]. [name]Berkeley[/name] and [name]Leander[/name] could get your husband to [name]Lee[/name], and all three sound more masculine to me. [name]Berkeley[/name] Carr, [name]Baxter[/name] [name]Keene[/name] or [name]Baxter[/name] [name]Lorenzo[/name], [name]Leander[/name] [name]Walsh[/name] all sound great.
I would love to see [name]Hartley[/name] on a boy. There’s a subtle nature connection that makes it feel woodsy, yet the -ley ending makes it lean preppy. I like several of the names in the poll, but my favorite is [name]Hartley[/name] [name]Amias[/name]. I love the rhythm and sound, [name]Amias[/name] is one of my personal favorites, and I love the positive meaning.
[name]Hartley[/name] is a surname so by that definition it’s unisex. He can go by [name]Hart[/name] which is pretty cool (I’m thinking of actor [name]Hart[/name] Bochner). Since it’s a surname, I would choose an established boys name for the middle. [name]Lorenzo[/name], [name]Jericho[/name] and [name]Amias[/name] fit the bill. These are three syllables so I think they work best with a two-syllable first and last name.
Wow, you’ve got so many awesome sounding choices. [name]Lorenzo[/name], [name]Mars[/name], and [name]Walsh[/name] are the only ones that I don’t really like that much.
I voted for [name]Keene[/name], but I really love [name]Galloway[/name], [name]Amias[/name], and [name]Jericho[/name] a lot as well.
I like [name]Hartley[/name] for a boy. [name]Love[/name] [name]Hart[/name].
