[name_m]Hi[/name_m] guys (again!). So my fiance said today that he loves [name_m]Joseph[/name_m], and his favourite middle name for it is [name_m]Rainer[/name_m], so we’ve got one name finalised as [name_m]Joseph[/name_m] [name_m]Rainer[/name_m] is one of my faves at the moment. We want a short list of a few, so we’re venturing into the rest of our list! At the moment, we also love [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] so we’ve made a short list of middle names that we might use for it. I wrote why we’ve chosen the name in brackets.
[name_m]Isaac[/name_m] [name_m]Holden[/name_m] ([name_m]Holden[/name_m], Catcher in the [name_m]Rye[/name_m])
[name_m]Isaac[/name_m] [name_m]Rainer[/name_m] ([name_m]Rainer[/name_m] [name_f]Maria[/name_f] Rilke)
[name_m]Isaac[/name_m] [name_m]Twain[/name_m] ([name_m]Mark[/name_m] [name_m]Twain[/name_m])
[name_m]Isaac[/name_m] [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] ([name_m]Fitzwilliam[/name_m] [name_u]Darcy[/name_u], Pride and Prejudice)
[name_m]Isaac[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] ([name_u]James[/name_u] [name_u]Dean[/name_u]) - Too predictable? [name_f]My[/name_f] fiance loves [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_u]Dean[/name_u] and we were going to choose [name_u]Dean[/name_u] but our sons middle name is [name_u]Cassady[/name_u] after [name_u]Neal[/name_u] [name_u]Cassady[/name_u]. The character [name_u]Dean[/name_u] Moriarty is based off of [name_u]Neal[/name_u] [name_u]Cassady[/name_u] so we just figured it would be strange.
[name_m]Isaac[/name_m] Steinbeck ([name_m]John[/name_m] Steinbeck)
[name_m]Isaac[/name_m] [name_u]River[/name_u] (we just love [name_u]River[/name_u])
[name_m]Isaac[/name_m] [name_m]David[/name_m] (after my grandfather)
Which do you prefer? If you have any suggestions, then we’ll be happy to hear them. We like literary names or names after people that mean something to us, but it isn’t essential!
I like [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] and [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] [name_u]River[/name_u] the best! If I had to choose one I’d pick [name_u]River[/name_u], it makes the name stand out. Good luck!
[name_m]Isaac[/name_m] [name_u]River[/name_u] is one of the combinations on my shortlist, so I’m biased, but I think it’s beautiful. You have fantastic taste all around!
[name_m]Isaac[/name_m] [name_m]David[/name_m] does not have the best flow but I love this combo for you because it honors your grandpa. I personally like [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] [name_m]Holden[/name_m] and [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] [name_u]River[/name_u]. [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] [name_m]Holden[/name_m] being my favorite.
I love the sound of [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] [name_u]River[/name_u], and the meaning behind [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] [name_m]David[/name_m]. Of your literary choices, [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] [name_m]Holden[/name_m] gets my vote.
Thank you all! It seems you all like [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] [name_u]River[/name_u], [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] [name_m]Holden[/name_m] & [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] [name_m]David[/name_m] with I think are my top three favourites also! [name_f]My[/name_f] fiance still isn’t sure which one he prefers so we’ll have to think about it for a while, but we’re not really in any hurry. We’re 90% sure that our #1 choice will be [name_m]Joseph[/name_m] [name_m]Rainer[/name_m], but we want some back up choices in case he doesn’t suit it when he arrives, and [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] will be one of them!
