[name_f]Ramona[/name_f] [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] is gorgeous! [name_f]Claudia[/name_f] [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] and [name_f]Claudia[/name_f] [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] are my favorites. If you’re unsure about using [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] on it’s own, what about [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]?
[name_f]Claudia[/name_f] [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f] is just gorgeous, and fits with [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] wonderfully. I pronounce [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f] ma-TILD. [name_f]Claudia[/name_f] [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] would be my second choice.
My favorite of your options is [name_f]Claudia[/name_f] [name_f]Matilde[/name_f], in part because it sounds like you like it best. I would pronounce it as pp.
Suggestions:
[name_f]Claudia[/name_f] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f]–but your husband doesn’t like nature names, so maybe not
[name_f]Claudia[/name_f] [name_f]Agnes[/name_f]
[name_f]Claudia[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]
[name_f]Claudia[/name_f] [name_f]Helene[/name_f]
[name_f]Claudia[/name_f] [name_f]Miriam[/name_f]
[name_f]Claudia[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f]
[name_f]Claudia[/name_f] [name_f]Blythe[/name_f]
[name_f]Claudia[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u]

[name_f]Claudia[/name_f] [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f]
[name_f]Claudia[/name_f] [name_f]Penelope[/name_f]
[name_f]Claudia[/name_f] [name_f]Pauline[/name_f]
I’ve heard the name [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f] be pronounced like [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], and that’s been my go-to pronunciation. Otherwise, I pronounce it ma-TEELD.
[name_u]Mo[/name_u] and [name_m]Tig[/name_m] sound really cute together!
I like [name_f]Claudia[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] and [name_f]Claudia[/name_f] [name_f]Helene[/name_f] from pp and [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] from your list. I voted [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] but it would depend how much the baggage bugs you. [name_f]Matilde[/name_f] is cute, I’m just not a huge fan of the stretch nicknames. [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] and [name_f]Claudia[/name_f] though.
First, [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f] is generally pronounced the same way as [name_f]Matilda[/name_f]; it’s just the [name_m]German[/name_m] spelling. It can also be spelled that way in [name_m]French[/name_m], then pronounced ma-teeld.
I’m really liking the flow of [name_f]Claudia[/name_f] [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] here, but I understand your hesitations.
[name_f]Claudia[/name_f] is gorgeous. I really like [name_f]Claudia[/name_f] [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f] and [name_f]Claudia[/name_f] [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]. I would pronounce [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f] as ma-TEELD (though I believe there are other pronunciations in different languages).
If I were in your shoes I would probably rule [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] out. From your list I like [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f] the best but I think some great suggestions have been made! In particular:
[name_f]Claudia[/name_f] [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f]
[name_f]Claudia[/name_f] [name_f]Margot[/name_f]
[name_f]Claudia[/name_f] [name_u]Simone[/name_u] (this would be my pick)
[name_f]Claudia[/name_f] [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f] got my vote – great names and great flow.
I say [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f] as muh-TILD in this your case, however, it does depend on context for me, as if its related to Germany or Scandinavia in any other way (surname, known heritage etc), I’d assume it to be pronounced similarly to [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], due to ending e’s being pronounced as -uh in these regions.
I adore [name_f]Claudia[/name_f] [name_f]Gwen[/name_f], but [name_f]Claudia[/name_f] [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f] is also fantastic and I’d say best fits the style of big sis’s name (which I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u], by the way!)
I think we must have similar tastes, since my second daughter was almost a [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] and her actual first name ([name_f]Anouk[/name_f]) is on your list of rejected names, along with lots of other favourites of mine. I especially love seeing another Ishtar fan!
