Recently decided to add [name_f]Elsa[/name_f] to my list (my daugher loves that song “Let It Go”, so the name’s been on my mind a lot lately) but I can’t quite decide on a middle name. Which do you like better, [name_f]Elsa[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] or [name_f]Elsa[/name_f] [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f]?
Personally, I like [name_f]Elsa[/name_f] [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f] better. [name_f]Elsa[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] feels a little clunky when I say it, but I don’t know why. [name_f]Elsa[/name_f] [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f] just rolls off the tongue, so it has my vote.
I have feeling with the popularity of Frozen this name is going to rise in popularity.
I like [name_f]Elsa[/name_f] [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f] better.
Honestly, I do not think either flow well… [name_f]Elsa[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] fits best too me. Not sure if you were asking for suggestions…
But I love the sound of [name_f]Elsa[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f], and [name_f]Elsa[/name_f] [name_f]Lucille[/name_f].
I agree with mklmvr…I dont think either flow too well…
suggestions (I really like [name_f]Elsa[/name_f] as well)
[name_f]Elsa[/name_f] [name_f]McKenna[/name_f]
[name_f]Elsa[/name_f] [name_f]Faith[/name_f]
[name_f]Elsa[/name_f] [name_f]Maria[/name_f]
I prefer [name_f]Elsa[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f]. Never cared that much for [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f]…
[name_f]Elsa[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] sound and looks prettier, but [name_f]Elsa[/name_f] [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f] flows better… I’m going to have to say [name_f]Elsa[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f]! Cute!
I think [name_f]Elsa[/name_f] [name_f]Kathrine[/name_f] is the best of those two but I’m seconding [name_f]Elsa[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] as an alternative.
[name_f]My[/name_f] thoughts exactly!
Thanks for the feedback! I agree that [name_f]Elsa[/name_f] [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f] flows better than [name_f]Elsa[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f]. Usually, I prefer [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] by miles, but in this case, I guess [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f] is the better choice. Thank you for the suggestions but I’m never been a fan of [name_f]Louise[/name_f] and the others all look too short when combined with [name_f]Elsa[/name_f] (Since it’s only four letters, I feel that it needs a longer middle name to balance it out visually).
@lisa429 - I’m not really worried about [name_f]Elsa[/name_f] getting popular. The only Disney princess name that was ever popular was [name_f]Jasmine[/name_f] and that got popular about five years before [name_m]Aladdin[/name_m] even came out. I’m sure there will be a handful of [name_f]Elsa[/name_f]'s popping up here and there, but I doubt it’ll all of a sudden be in the top ten or anything.
Since I’m not super in love with either [name_f]Elsa[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] or [name_f]Elsa[/name_f] [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f], I guess it’s back to the drawing board. [name_m]How[/name_m] does everyone feel about [name_f]Elsa[/name_f] [name_f]Miriam[/name_f] and [name_f]Elsa[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]?
I think [name_f]Elsa[/name_f] [name_f]Miriam[/name_f] is beautiful!
I love both of those! Also, how about [name_f]Elsa[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]? Or [name_f]Elsa[/name_f] [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f]?
even though I am not a fan of [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f], I like the way it flows with [name_f]Elsa[/name_f]
Agree, [name_f]Anna[/name_f] and [name_f]Elsa[/name_f] will be fast risers.
[name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_f]Elsa[/name_f] [name_f]Aurelie[/name_f]'?
I prefer [name_f]Elsa[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f].
I also anticipate [name_f]Elsa[/name_f] getting more popular. But something else to consider, even if popularity doesn’t bother you. [name_f]My[/name_f] daughter’s name is [name_f]Elsa[/name_f], and she is growing very annoyed by the reaction other children (and adults!) have to her name. When hearing her name, they immediately reference the movie, joke with her to show them her magic ice powers, start singing let it go, etc. [name_m]Even[/name_m] people that knew her name before the movie (like her teachers) enjoy poking fun at it. I am hoping this fades in time, but for now my daughter has told me that she doesn’t like it at all and she wishes she had a different name. Which of course makes me very sad, because I adore her name and want her to love it, too. Like I said, I am hopeful that she doesn’t continue to feel annoyed by it, and can embrace and love her name and just roll with the comments…but right now they are really bothering her. Not to discourage you from using [name_f]Elsa[/name_f], I just wanted to share our “real life” experience.
