[name_f]Luna[/name_f] [name_f]Patrizia[/name_f] vs [name_f]Luna[/name_f] [name_f]Caterina[/name_f]
Both are family names. [name_f]Patrizia[/name_f] honors my aunt and a close family friend (both named [name_f]Patricia[/name_f]), each of whom passed away relatively unexpected. They were wonderful, kind people, but I have mixed feelings about honoring them due to their untimely demise.
[name_f]Caterina[/name_f] is a play on my name, [name_f]Catherine[/name_f], and what my S/O’s family calls me. I’ve always loved it in the middle name spot, but I’m not sure it’s quite as meaningful as [name_f]Patrizia[/name_f]. Then again, I do think it has better flow and maybe a little less weight. But I worry it may be a bit lackluster compared to [name_f]Patrizia[/name_f].
So which do you prefer - [name_f]Luna[/name_f] [name_f]Patrizia[/name_f] or [name_f]Luna[/name_f] [name_f]Caterina[/name_f]?
ETA: does anyone know how to make this a poll? I’m on my mobile and normally have no trouble but can’t seem to figure it out.
I think if you have conflicted feelings about using [name_f]Patrizia[/name_f], it might be safer to go for [name_f]Caterina[/name_f]. Both sound beautiful with [name_f]Luna[/name_f]
And that’s the very reason I vote [name_f]Luna[/name_f] [name_f]Patrizia[/name_f]. Besides, I think [name_f]Luna[/name_f] [name_f]Patrizia[/name_f] flows very well! It has the flare that comes from such an unexpected mn. What a fabulous combo!
And, fwiw, you can always save [name_f]Caterina[/name_f] for a second daughter.
Thank you so much! I love when [name_f]Patrizia[/name_f] gets love because I think it’s just such a fun, spunky middle. Plus I think it would be incredibly meaningful to my dad, as my aunt was like a mother to him rather than a sister. He took her death particularly hard.
Isadora [name_f]Grazia[/name_f] and [name_f]Elena[/name_f] [name_f]Caterina[/name_f] are our other combos for girls, so I love your suggestion of saving it for a future daughter. I’m still unsure, but your comment helped tremendously!
