[name_m]Martin[/name_m] [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] immediately caught my eye! I think it fits the bill of what you are looking for, especially [name_m]Hugo[/name_m]. The other middles you list, save [name_m]Evander[/name_m], all sound serious paired with [name_m]Martin[/name_m]…very buttoned-up and starchy (note: they aren’t bad names at all, it’s just they sound very serious when paired with the “heavier” [name_m]Martin[/name_m]). [name_m]Evander[/name_m] just doesn’t run well off the tongue, which is why I didn’t choose that. But [name_m]Hugo[/name_m]…[name_m]Hugo[/name_m] seems so happy
With nicknames…I’m not sure. Maybe [name_u]Mart[/name_u] or [name_u]Mars[/name_u]? For what it’s worth, I think [name_m]Martin[/name_m] is short enough for people to not necessarily dub him with a nickname
[name_m]Martin[/name_m] [name_m]Julius[/name_m]
[name_u]Mart[/name_u]
[name_f]Mar[/name_f]
[name_m]Art[/name_m]
[name_m]Artie[/name_m]
MJ - if you use a J middle name
I personally would not use a nickname.
I voted [name_m]Martin[/name_m] [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m]. I found [name_m]Martin[/name_m] [name_m]Amos[/name_m] and [name_m]Martin[/name_m] [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] harder to say and I prefer [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m] over [name_m]Julius[/name_m] and [name_m]Evander[/name_m] with [name_m]Martin[/name_m].
[name_m]Art[/name_m] seems the most obvious nn besides [name_u]Marty[/name_u], you could stretch it by using [name_m]Rhett[/name_m], [name_u]Ari[/name_u], [name_m]Arnie[/name_m], [name_m]Matt[/name_m], [name_f]Marnie[/name_f].
I think both [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m] and [name_m]Julius[/name_m] give the lighter feel you are looking for. Personally, I prefer [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m]. Also, the three syllable middle helps with the flow.
I love the previous suggestion of [name_m]Art[/name_m] as a nn. Good luck!
[name_m]Martin[/name_m] [name_m]Julius[/name_m] followed by [name_m]Martin[/name_m] [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m].
I voted for [name_m]Martin[/name_m] [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m]. It’s the lightest of the lot.
I like [name_m]Martin[/name_m] [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m], [name_m]Martin[/name_m] [name_m]Hugo[/name_m], and [name_m]Martin[/name_m] [name_m]Julius[/name_m]. MJ? I have a relative I call MJ sometimes based on initials, but it’s not an official nickname. I would personally prefer [name_m]Martin[/name_m] in the middle since the other names have better nicknames imo, but that’s me. [name_m]Julius[/name_m] [name_m]Martin[/name_m] ‘[name_u]Jules[/name_u]’… swoon! (Sorry if that’s not helpful.)
[name_m]Martin[/name_m] [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m] got my vote. For a nn, I like the suggestion of [name_u]Mars[/name_u].
Thank you everyone!
