Which MN for Saskia?

Sorry to be posting about this name again so soon, but I really think [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] could join my top 5. I like a lot of names but am picky about what goes onto the “short” list, in the end. To me, it’s really standing out among other contenders and I keep thinking about it. That said, it still needs a middle name!

Which of the following do you like best (and why, if you don’t mind)?

[name_f]Saskia[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]
[name_f]Saskia[/name_f] [name_f]Miranda[/name_f]
[name_f]Saskia[/name_f] [name_u]Ruby[/name_u]

[name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] was chosen for its superb name meanings, [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] honors my dad, and [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] is my birthstone / honors a great-aunt.

Any thoughts are appreciated! [name_f]TIA[/name_f]!

EDIT: Another contender I’m considering now is Saskia Blythe (and thus changing my Harriet combo to Harriet Miranda). Does this work better?

[name_f]Saskia[/name_f] is lovely!

My favourite of your options is definitely [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] [name_u]Ruby[/name_u]! I think the flow is brilliant, and the pairing is wonderful. The names really compliment each other, and are of a similar style in my mind.

I’m not too fond of [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] or [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] [name_f]Miranda[/name_f], unfortunately. I find [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] and [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] to be of totally different styles, but that may be just personal preference. The flow is great, however! [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] is way too rhymey for me.

I love [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] and [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] [name_u]Ruby[/name_u]! I think I’m slightly more [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] but both are lovely.

[name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] has more of a mature feel, it compliments the slinky femininity of [name_f]Saskia[/name_f]. [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] lightens [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] a little and plays more on the spunky nature of [name_f]Saskia[/name_f].

[name_f]Saskia[/name_f] [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] definitely!

I actually really like [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] [name_f]Miranda[/name_f]. I tend to like unexpected combos and I don’t mind repeating sounds / endings sometimes. I think [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] works and I think it’s great it honors! [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] is lovely also and would be my second fav.

[name_f]Saskia[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] is not a bad combo but both are spunky and I’d prefer something a little softer w/ [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] to balance her out a bit.

[name_f]Saskia[/name_f] [name_f]Miranda[/name_f]! [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] makes the combo very sweet and soft, as the previous poster said.

[name_f]Saskia[/name_f] [name_u]Ruby[/name_u]

[name_f]Saskia[/name_f] [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] is beautiful! The names flow well and have a similar feel to them, and the combo’s vibe is wonderfully spunky.

[name_u]Ruby[/name_u]
[name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]
[name_f]Miranda[/name_f]
In that order. I think [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] with the double a ending is why it is my least fave. Otherwise I just like the name [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] over [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]!

[name_f]Saskia[/name_f] [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] is beautiful

My favorite is [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] [name_u]Ruby[/name_u], followed by [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] [name_f]Miranda[/name_f]

I love [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]. Nice combination.

[name_f]Saskia[/name_f] is a gorgeous name (it’d be on my own short-list if the surname didn’t begin with and further contain, an S too – too hissy). She would make a lovely addition to your short-list.

[name_f]Saskia[/name_f] [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] gets my vote, as it’s strong and spunky, but I also like [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f], for the same reasons.

Thank you Berries for your thoughtful answers!

@gildedfairyx: I’m happy to see some love for [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] [name_f]Miranda[/name_f], haha. I didn’t expect any since no one ever seems to be keen on combos where both names end in the -a sound. But [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] is special to me and I’d love to work it into my list somehow for my dad.

@emmievis: Thank you also! I’m glad you think the combo is sweet.

@midwinter: Spunky is a quality I definitely like!

@sunniva: It’s funny you mention the S-sounds. My surname also has them, though it’s at the end of the name, so I think it still works. Or at least, I hope so. My own first name has a hissy quality to it and I haven’t had issues so I guess that’s why I’m not worried about [name_f]Saskia[/name_f].

[name_f]Edit[/name_f]: If anyone sees this, I’m also considering [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] [name_f]Blythe[/name_f] (and changing my [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] combo to [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] [name_f]Miranda[/name_f]). Thoughts?

[name_f]Saskia[/name_f] is fantastic!

I love [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] from your original list - so spiky and spunky, yet still deliciously girly. [name_u]Love[/name_u] it!

I also really like the addition of [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] [name_f]Blythe[/name_f]. If you wanted to soften [name_f]Saskia[/name_f]'s spikiness a little but keep [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]'s fantastic meaning, then [name_f]Blythe[/name_f] is certainly the way to go. (Or maybe even [name_f]Joy[/name_f]?)

These all seem fine. I’ve always been partial to [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] [name_u]Rue[/name_u].
