Just to add a suggestion, what about the name Ashlee Mae?
Of these names, I like [name]Leanna[/name] [name]Mae[/name] and [name]Leah[/name] [name]Mae[/name] the best. [name]Leah[/name] [name]Maeve[/name] is okay, but I feel like it doesn’t flow quite as well as the other two. I also think [name]Emily[/name] [name]Mae[/name] or [name]Emily[/name] [name]Maeve[/name] are pretty, and because it’s pronounced -lee, I think the intent is clear.
Honestly, I do not like the [name]Emmalee[/name] or [name]Emilee[/name] spelling. I think it’s sweet to honor your grandfather and understand the desire to maintain the spelling, but I imagine your daughter having to correct the spelling of her name throughout her life. Also, I feel like there are some people out there who stereotype someone with a “creatively” spelled name as being less sophisticated, which isn’t a perception I’d want.
