I have three months left of my pregnancy, and so far I have a small list of names that I absolutely adore! I need some help choosing between them:
*edit: sorry, i meant middle names for Sage, not nicnames
[name]Agnes[/name] [name]Celeste[/name] - [name]Agnes[/name] is the name of my great grandmother and [name]Celeste[/name] is a family name, so I thought I’d put teh two together and they go really well together.
[name]Agatha[/name] [name]Sage[/name] - [name]Sage[/name] has always been one of my favourite names, it’s been at the top of my list since I was a little girl.
[name]Harlon[/name] [name]Rose[/name] - [name]Harlon[/name] is the name of a family friend that my grandaddy fought with in the war. He’s a hero of mine, but I don’t know if the name fits a girl? What do you think? And [name]Rose[/name] is the name of my godmother.
[name]Celia[/name] [name]Delphine[/name] - I love the idea of giving ferret a sweet, angelic name, and [name]Celia[/name] fits perfectly. [name]Delphine[/name] is rarely used these days, and I like the idea of it.
Winry [name]Evangeline[/name] - Winry is another of those names that I’ve loved since I was a child. I used to play with a little girl called Winry, [name]Winnie[/name] for short, though I don’t think it really needs a nickname
So what do you think? Also, can you think of any nicknames for [name]Sage[/name]?
I really like [name]Agnes[/name]! It’s very classic and has a beautiful sound, plus it really deserves to make a come back along with its sibling names [name]Mabel[/name] and [name]Edith[/name]. I think it’s an awesome custom to name children after relatives (I’m named for my great-grandmother). I’d love to meet some little [name]Agnes[/name]'s! And [name]Celeste[/name] has a lovely musical flow to it, so it compliments [name]Agnes[/name] perfectly! I also like [name]Agatha[/name] [name]Sage[/name] and [name]Celia[/name] [name]Delphine[/name]. Nickname for [name]Sage[/name]…well since it’s so short, I think sounds nice just as [name]Sage[/name].
I like Winry [name]Evangeline[/name] a lot, but I’d like to know more about the name first – I can’t find the meaning or origin anywhere.
maybe Evengeline Winry, which I think I like better. Why do names as short as Winry and [name]Sage[/name] need nicknames? That’s seems a little excessive to me.
Thanks for your opinion I love the name [name]Agatha[/name], but I wasn’t sure if it was too old or not? And I meant middle names, not nicknames for [name]Sage[/name], sorry x
[name]Celia[/name] [name]Delphine[/name] is truly magnificent! I fought to use [name]Celia[/name] for my daughter, but my husband would not relent. My second pick would be [name]Agnes[/name] [name]Celeste[/name].
[name]Celia[/name] [name]Delphine[/name] is probably my favorite from your list, it’s beautiful and wearable. Plus [name]Delphine[/name] is an awesome middle! I also am liking your Winry [name]Evangeline[/name] combo, I have never heard the name Winry but for some reason I like it, it’s got something special about it and [name]Evangeline[/name] is a gorgeous name!
Oh all of your names are good. I have a soft spot for [name]Agatha[/name] but with a different middle name…maybe [name]Celeste[/name] or [name]Delphine[/name].
I love [name]Agatha[/name] [name]Sage[/name]! [name]Agatha[/name] has been on my list for a long time, but I have a love/hate relationship with the nn [name]Aggie[/name].
[name]Celia[/name] [name]Delphine[/name] is fantastic! I’d love to meet someone with either name, and together they’re stunning. The others are nice, but nowhere near as great, although Winry is intriguing. I personally dislike [name]Harlon[/name] on a girl, but I don’t think too many non-berries would bat an eye at it.
[name]Agnes[/name] [name]Celeste[/name] - Not a fan of this one at all. [name]Celeste[/name] is beautiful, [name]Agnes[/name] is just not my style but the combo doesn’t flow for me. The ‘nes’ in [name]Agnes[/name] runs together with [name]Celeste[/name] and I don’t like that at all. Sorry.
[name]Agatha[/name] [name]Sage[/name] - Another one that isn’t really my style. I do really like [name]Sage[/name], but not [name]Agatha[/name]. I do think the sound of them together is nice though. Much better than [name]Agnes[/name] [name]Celeste[/name] in my opinion. What about [name]Agatha[/name] [name]Celeste[/name]? or [name]Sage[/name] [name]Agatha[/name]?
[name]Harlon[/name] [name]Rose[/name] - [name]Harlon[/name] is definitely masculine to me, but also probably obscure/underused enough that it could work for a girl. Especially with [name]Rose[/name] to soften it up. Lots will say that [name]Rose[/name] is a filler name, but I think it’s classic and pretty.
[name]Celia[/name] [name]Delphine[/name] - This one is my favorite of your combos. I like both of the names (especially [name]Delphine[/name]! [name]One[/name] of my favorites) and they both work very well together. This one gets my vote for sure!
Winry Evageline - This one is interesting. I’m not sure how I feel about Winry, but I love [name]Evangeline[/name]. I think [name]Evangeline[/name] Winry would work better, with a more established first name and Winry being used as the quirky middle.
I also like apollonia’s suggestion of Winry [name]Sage[/name]. I like [name]Sage[/name] Winry even better though. A more well-known first with a quirky middle, and both names you’ve loved since childhood!
