Not sure where you live but [name_m]Rocco[/name_m] seems be getting more popular in the U.K I know of 2 that’s been born within the last 6 months in my immediate circles & I’ve heard of another 2 of friends of friends. So I’d be wary of that if you didn’t want a popular name.

[name_m]Bruno[/name_m] is ok, NMS sounds a little dated even with [name_m]Bruno[/name_m] [name_u]Mars[/name_u] to me but there’s nothing wrong with it.

[name_u]Lennox[/name_u] got my vote, its a nice handsome. Not overly common but equally not heard of & I like Nox or [name_m]Leno[/name_m] as NNs.

[name_u]Remy[/name_u] is adorable. I love this thanks for Disneys Ratatouille film but Id prefer a longer version like [name_u]Remington[/name_u] & shortened it to [name_u]Remy[/name_u]. My 2nd choice though, it is lovely.

ooo thanks for your input! I will suggest [name_u]Remington[/name_u] to my husband, he is extremely picky!

[name_m]Rocco[/name_m] is not popular where I am (not the UK) but not unheard of either, so thats a good mix as I like something that is not TOO unusual but not too popular. I’d say I have heard [name_u]Lennox[/name_u] as much as I have heard of [name_m]Rocco[/name_m]. I really like both for different reasons. I think they are my top picks at the moment. [name_u]Remy[/name_u] is adorable. I really wanted [name_m]Roman[/name_m] but my husband says no. I would have even gone as far as [name_m]Romeo[/name_m], I absolutely adore it he he… my husband says NO [name_m]WAY[/name_m]!!!

I like [name_m]Bruno[/name_m], [name_u]Lennox[/name_u], and [name_u]Remy[/name_u], but [name_u]Remy[/name_u] got my vote! Rémy or Rémi is a name in its own right in [name_f]France[/name_f], so I don’t see the need to shorten it. I’m not particularly anti-gun, but I wouldn’t want to name my son after one, so [name_u]Remington[/name_u] would be out for me.

[name_m]Bruno[/name_m] is pretty cute, too! I think when you take out the whole [name_m]Bruno[/name_m] [name_u]Mars[/name_u] association, and the stereotypical Italian mafia sort of impression (I don’t know, when I think of Italian mafia, I think of names like [name_m]Bruno[/name_m], [name_u]Vinnie[/name_u], [name_u]Tony[/name_u], etc., haha), I think [name_m]Bruno[/name_m] is really, really cute. I knew a really cute teenage girl back in my interning days from [name_u]Brazil[/name_u] whose name was [name_f]Bruna[/name_f], and I started liking [name_f]Bruna[/name_f] because of her, so I think I like [name_m]Bruno[/name_m] by default. There was another [name_u]Berry[/name_u] on here who once had [name_m]Samson[/name_m] [name_m]Bruno[/name_m] in her signature, and that made me love [name_m]Bruno[/name_m] quite a lot, too!

I like [name_u]Lennox[/name_u] a lot (mainly because it reminds me of [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_u]Lennox[/name_u] and The [name_f]Secret[/name_f] Garden), but I can’t really see it on a little boy? Plus, I don’t like [name_m]Lenny[/name_m] or [name_m]Knox[/name_m] very much and don’t know what I’d want to shorten it to, because I feel like someone in my family would want to shorten it. :frowning:

[name_m]Rocco[/name_m] is nice, just not my thing.

Good luck!

Thank you! yes I am the same in regards to [name_m]Bruno[/name_m]. I knew an awesome [name_m]Bruno[/name_m] when I was a child, no Italian heritage at all. He was a few years older and everyone liked him even if he was missing an arm - no one ever teased him etc. He was liked by everyone and his name was very unique as it was very uncommon. Now I know one [name_m]Bruno[/name_m] who is quite old. Very nice old man! [name_m]Bruno[/name_m] is actually very recent add to our list, it just came to me one day and my husband liked it also (to my surprise).

I think we all associate names with people and things and [name_u]Lennox[/name_u] to me is also [name_f]Annie[/name_f] [name_u]Lennox[/name_u] but since then [name_m]Ive[/name_m] met a few really cool small, wild boys called [name_u]Lennox[/name_u] and now I totally see it on a boy! nicknames are ok, I’m thinking [name_m]Lenny[/name_m] maybe or no nn at all … ! what I like about the shorter names is that they don’t get shortened as easily!

Thanks for the feedback!

I like [name_u]Lennox[/name_u]. [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_m]Knox[/name_m]?
