I love your name choices.

I adore [name_f]Nellie[/name_f] as a nickname for [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f].

If you wanted to be different you could go with [name_f]Eleanora[/name_f] and use [name_f]Nora[/name_f] as the nickname.

Another variant of [name_f]Helen[/name_f] is [name_f]Elena[/name_f] with is one of my favourite names and one that I’m most definitely using.

I love [name_f]Elena[/name_f]! It’s like the perfect blend of [name_f]Helen[/name_f] and [name_f]Elaine[/name_f] and has been on my list a long time. My only issue is that I love the nickname [name_f]Lainey[/name_f], which is more intuitive from the [name_f]Elaina[/name_f] spelling, and I don’t like that one as much. I also love the idea of [name_f]Eleanora[/name_f] nn [name_f]Nora[/name_f]. [name_f]Nora[/name_f] is adorable! Could it work with just [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]?

I do love the original medieval [name_f]Alienor[/name_f]. If you’re prepared to live with the spelling issues I would go with that for you. (I know what you mean about [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] - I have an equally well known mainstream name with what I thought was one standard spelling but in fact I have had to spell out and correct both spelling and pronunciation all my life.) So for me, choosing a name you have to spell is not a big deal.

I do love [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] too, and if you equally loved its nicknames I would choose that. Since you really want [name_u]Allie[/name_u] though I think [name_f]Alienor[/name_f] would be great. I find [name_f]Alina[/name_f] a bit bland in comparison.

I agree! [name_f]Alina[/name_f] almost feels “incomplete” to me next to [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] or [name_f]Alienor[/name_f]. I’m also not a huge fan of frillier femine names, and I think [name_f]Alina[/name_f] falls in that category more than the others.

I’m sure it would work just fine with [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]. You could even change the spelling of [name_f]Elena[/name_f] slightly to something like [name_f]Elaina[/name_f] to make lainey work.

Another option could be [name_f]Elina[/name_f] which is similar to [name_f]Alina[/name_f] except using an E.

I love [name_f]Alienor[/name_f] but much prefer [name_f]Nellie[/name_f] over [name_u]Allie[/name_u], so I voted for [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] nn [name_f]Nellie[/name_f].

I’m sorry but i don’t like [name_f]Alienor[/name_f] because there is the word Alien in it…
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] is a little complicated to pronounce or write but it’s definitely my favorite.

I really like [name_f]Elaina[/name_f] nn [name_f]Lainey[/name_f]! [name_f]Allegra[/name_f] nn [name_u]Allie[/name_u] is cute too. I’m also a fan of [name_f]Alessia[/name_f] which could work with [name_u]Allie[/name_u]. In the pole I like [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], although I’m running into a lot of them lately.

My favorite option for you is definitely [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] nn [name_f]Nora[/name_f]. Works perfectly with [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] and [name_f]Nora[/name_f] is so sweet.

If you decide not to go with that, I would do [name_f]Elena[/name_f].

I voted for [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] but there are other names I like that have been suggested (I think [name_f]Helena[/name_f] nn [name_f]Lainey[/name_f] too). Either way, much prefer your options [name_f]Nellie[/name_f] and [name_u]Allie[/name_u] over, say, [name_f]Ellie[/name_f].

I can’t warm to [name_f]Alienor[/name_f] because of the strong “Alien” part of the name.

[name_f]Alina[/name_f] [name_f]Patricia[/name_f] is gorgeous but I don’t think you could go wrong with [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] either.

I noticed the Alien thing too. [name_m]Don[/name_m]’t love that. And again, can’t figure out a good pronunciation.

I love [name_f]Alessia[/name_f]! I’m worried it’s too wordy with [name_f]Patricia[/name_f] as a middle though. And [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] definitely is becoming more popular, which is a bit of a concern. I also don’t want people to shorten it to [name_f]Ellie[/name_f], which is way too common nowadays.

I personally prefer [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], but it seems like you are drawn to nn [name_u]Allie[/name_u], which would make more sense with the other two names. Of them, I prefer [name_f]Alienor[/name_f]'s history and Frenchness. I have a name I have to spell and it hasn’t been a huge hindrance for me.
