Which name fits the pair?

[name_f][/name_f][name_f][/name_f]About the cousins[name_f][/name_f]

So I’m not super close to the cousins who share names, but we live in the same city. If we’re talking about them (let’s call them Elizabeth) we just say, “Elizabeth, X’s daughter,” and “Elizabeth, Y’s daughter,” or “The older one,” and “The younger one,” to differentiate them.

If they’re together and you’re talking to them directly, it doesn’t matter. People rarely use anyone’s names in conversation, they tend to look at the person they’re talking to.

There is confusion only when they’re both in the same place (at family gatherings, etc) and somebody wants to call one of them, but he sometimes forgets to differentiate them, so he shouts “Elizabeth,” and they both show up. That can be fixed by remembering to specify which [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] before calling out.

I feel the same about [name_m]Ivan[/name_m] & [name_f]Nikita[/name_f], and [name_m]Anton[/name_m] & [name_f]Nikita[/name_f], as I do about [name_m]Vanya[/name_m] & [name_f]Nikita[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]- very Russian, doesn’t quite line up with the more [name_f]Indian[/name_f] Nikita-on-a-girl, but works if you like it.

[name_m]Nikolas[/name_m] & [name_f]Nikita[/name_f] are too matchy.
