Which name fits the pair?

I’m going to go against the grain and say that I wouldn’t personally use [name_m]Evan[/name_m] if there is already one in the relatively close family. I have known families in which cousins have the same name and it has been fine, but that means grandparents have two grandchildren with the same name and IMO it would be better to avoid that if possible.

[name_m]Evan[/name_m] is a lovely name but not super distinctive [name_f][/name_f]— I feel confident you could find an alternative that you also love if you mentally mark [name_m]Evan[/name_m] as “off the table”. [name_m]Ivan[/name_m] and [name_f]Jan[/name_f] feel like nice alternatives. [name_m]Vanya[/name_m] is lovely but feels rather nicknamey next to [name_f]Nikita[/name_f], could you do [name_m]Ivan[/name_m] “Vanya”?
