My vote is with [name_m]Kingston[/name_m]. It shares an old-world established surname quality with [name_m]Adler[/name_m]. Idiris and Terrick feel more other-worldly or made-up by comparison. [name_m]Apollo[/name_m] is certainly familiar, but strikes me as too daring. My one hesitation is that when I saw the title of your post, I assumed that [name_m]Adler[/name_m] was your son, not your daughter (my apologies!). I do think it’s nice when sibling names help strangers distinguish sons from daughters, and I’m not sure that [name_m]Kingston[/name_m] helps–if I saw sibling names [name_m]Adler[/name_m] and [name_m]Kingston[/name_m] together, I would probably assume that they were the same gender. If I already knew that [name_m]Adler[/name_m] was a girl, then I would assume [name_m]Kingston[/name_m] was also a girl. [name_m]Apollo[/name_m] is more decidedly masculine, so I’d be less inclined to make that mistake. But I’m guessing that this doesn’t matter as much to you as it does to me, so I’d still go with [name_m]Kingston[/name_m].
Thank you memomo. I love your reasons for [name_m]Kingston[/name_m], and I agree about [name_m]Apollo[/name_m]–With [name_m]Kingston[/name_m], like another posted in a different thread said about ‘loving [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] but not [name_m]Fred[/name_m]’’, My biggest dislike of [name_m]Kingston[/name_m] is the nn [name_m]King[/name_m]–In fact, his father wants to call him that and Im just not into it–(especially with [name_m]Adler[/name_m]) Might as well call him [name_m]Lord[/name_m], Ruler or President–lol…(Im the grandma btw) (I named the granddaughter but dont have as much say with the upcoming grandson, but Im trying–lol) Thanks again
I would go with [name_m]Apollo[/name_m]. Its strong and can stand up to your daughters name since her name is pretty strong. I never was a fan of [name_m]Kingston[/name_m] plus if you dislike the nn [name_m]King[/name_m] then I would remove it completely. I don’t really like Terrick either. So in the end my two votes are for [name_m]Apollo[/name_m] and [name_m]Idris[/name_m] since that name sounds cool with your daughters name. Good luck!
