We’re down to a few names that my husband and I have agreed on (middles aren’t set in stone) but need opinions. I love all of them and especially love poppy… I’m wondering if poppy is/isn’t a good fit with our first daughter, [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_u]Page[/name_u]. Thoughts? Your fav?
[name_f]My[/name_f] favourite combo from your list is [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f]. I love it’s elegance, balance and vintage vibe, which fits perfectly with [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_u]Page[/name_u] imo.
Other combos are lovely too, and if Poppy has a special place in your heart, go for it!
Camille [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] - [name_f]Lovely[/name_f] combo I think it fits well given how their both [name_u]French[/name_u] names and [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] and [name_u]Page[/name_u] have an unintentional literature reference!
Adeline [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] - I agree with @Violet8181, [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] matches [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] the best, both in length and sibling set, the matching middle initial is also very darling to me! I quite love that the most!
Poppy [name_u]Louise[/name_u] - Not my favorite in the set, but I love the meaning behind it, you can never go wrong with a flower name to me, and [name_u]Louise[/name_u] is charming, I do think it doesn’t match with [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] the best however
My recommendation is having [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] as a middle [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] is a beautiful combo for me, and still keeps the matching middle initial, and connects the name, [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] and [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] also go well together, and I’m just in love with them as a set!
Adeline [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] is lovely and the best fit with [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f], imo! [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] [name_u]Louise[/name_u] is so sweet too though, and my solid second choice. It doesn’t go as well with [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] (hence why it’s my second choice), but if that’s truly your favourite, I don’t think that should stop you from using it.
Camille [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] is my favorite. I have a preference for [name_u]French[/name_u] names and I think it is a lovely poetic name. The other two have a very vintage, early 1900s feel with the first and middle combos. I think they are all good names that would go well with your firstborn.
Poppy and [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] do feel like different styles of name to me, however if [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] is your favourite I’d still say use it! They are both beautiful. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you have a nickname for [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]? [name_f]Vivi[/name_f] and [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] sound excellent together! [name_f]Do[/name_f] you like [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] with [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] as a nickname? [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] and [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] are a good match
A vote for the beautiful [name_u]Camille[/name_u] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]!
Camille is chic, pretty and [name_u]French[/name_u], just like [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f], and [name_f]Millie[/name_f] is a sweet nickname which feels a little softer and less overdone than [name_f]Addie[/name_f].
I agree that [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] isn’t the best fit with [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] but it’s not bad & if you like it the best then that should come first over whether the styles match, after all, they won’t be introduced together forever! If you are looking for more of a style match though then my favourite is [name_u]Camille[/name_u]. They’re all lovely names so you can’t go wrong!
Adeline [name_f]Pearl[/name_f], I absolutely love! Has been a combo on my list for some time now. It’s classic, timeless, beautiful, and goes perfectly with [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_u]Page[/name_u]. [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] [name_u]Louise[/name_u] is my second favorite, but I’m a little biased towards [name_f]Adeline[/name_f]!
I was going to say [name_f]Adeline[/name_f], but the more I’ve been saying [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] and [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] in my head, the less I like their endings together. Maybe that’s nit-picky. [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] is a bit of a different style than [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f], but it’s still soft, sweet, and pretty (like [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]) and I think they actually work really well together.
Also, just to get that classy French feel, I wanted to throw the suggestion of Poppy Juliet into the mix. That might help balance them out.
I love [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] [name_u]Louise[/name_u] because I can see your love for it… however I do see a connection with [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] [name_u]Louise[/name_u] to [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_u]Page[/name_u] I do not see [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] and [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] going together.
My suggestion is to have [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] be a nn.
[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_u]Louise[/name_u] or [name_f]Calliope[/name_f] [name_u]Louise[/name_u]. Or use one of your other names for the middle. Which I would probabaly do for [name_f]Calliope[/name_f].
Another suggestion might be [name_f]Pippa[/name_f] as a stand-alone that goes better with [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]. But I would probably pair that with [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] or [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] over [name_u]Louise[/name_u].
