:o I thought [name]Leota[/name] was my secret name that no one had heard of ):

Definitely go for [name]Leota[/name] [name]Elise[/name], it’s so pretty and I love [name]Leota[/name]'s spunkiness!

I had never seen this as a girl’s name before. Unfortunately all it reminds me of is actor [name]Ray[/name] Liotta or a typo for [name]Leona[/name] (which is beautiful as well as [name]Leonore[/name]/a). If you really want to use it I would keep it in the mn spot.

[name]Ada[/name] [name]Elise[/name] is beautiful! I am quite possibly using [name]Aida[/name] in a middle spot as a namesake for [name]Aidan[/name]. But, I don’t know if any of these really sound that great with [name]Oakley[/name]. And I agree with the pp, [name]Leona[/name] is beautiful, [name]Leota[/name] not so much.

[name]Leota[/name] was my grandmother’s middle name and it’s a [name]German[/name] name meaning “of the people” and a native flower name from the Dakotas. I tend to like names that were at their height of popularity at the turn of the previous century as this was along with [name]Oakley[/name] and [name]Ada[/name]. I fear that it is a bit clunky and without nns other than “[name]Lee[/name]”. Any other nn ideas out there?
I love [name]Leona[/name] too, but, as my name is [name]Sierra[/name], I think the [name]Sierra[/name] [name]Leone[/name] allusion is too much to use [name]Leona[/name] for my daughter.
cnk-tdcc: Where did you come across this name?

I was confused when I first read this because I thought you went with [name]Oakley[/name] for it’s trendiness. I consider it trendy, I delivered 2 Oakleys in the last 8 months. I guess that’s why I don’t think any of these names fit well with it. As for [name]Sierra[/name] [name]Leone[/name], I doubt anyone will even recognize or put those together.

Interesting! When [name]Oakley[/name] was born in 2010 all the maternity nurses said it was so unusual and that he’ll have a tonne of Olivers and Oscars in his class but no other Oakleys. I chose it because of the meaning and only somewhat because it’s uncommon, but not unheard of. This is in [name]Canada[/name] of course.

I voted for [name]Ada[/name] [name]Leota[/name], though I think I’m reconsidering. I prefer [name]Ada[/name] [name]Elise[/name] now. [name]Ada[/name] [name]Leora[/name] would be GORGEOUS!

@omama: My grandfather’s grandmother was [name]Leota[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name]. He was telling me how my name ([name]Charlotte[/name]) is a family name, and he told me about his grandmother. I thought he had mispronounced [name]Leona[/name], and I tried to correct him  As soon as he told me it was a real name, I fell in love with it! (:

I voted for [name]Ada[/name] [name]Leota[/name] based on the fact that you said you wanted something unusual, [name]Elise[/name] while a fine name is NOT unusual.

[name]Ada[/name] is great and [name]Leota[/name] is distinctive and as a middle name will draw more comments and less confusion than if it were her first where she would probably spend some time correcting pronunciation, spelling and such.
