  1. Which name is easier to pronounce?
[name_u]ALEX[/name_u] (is also more common internationally, so few people will have problems with it)

  2. Which name are you likely to hear it correctly and not mistake for another similar sounding name when the name is spoken?
[name_u]ALEX[/name_u], though I don’t think [name_m]Jason[/name_m] would have many problems either, maybe all those Jacksons & Masons?

  3. Which name are you more likely to remember?
Both are fairly easy to remember!

4. Which name would be better or sounds better?
[name_m]Jason[/name_m] [name_m]Lim[/name_m] sounds better due to [name_m]Jason[/name_m] not containing an “L” but both sound fine.

Other comments or opinions of these names are welcomed. Thanks.

I prefer [name_u]Alex[/name_u] over [name_m]Jason[/name_m]. While both have been done 373282626 times, [name_u]Alex[/name_u] seems more timeless and classic, also more international, while [name_m]Jason[/name_m] seems “overdone” and very American (which isn’t necessarily bad).
I’m also not a fan of the whole new [name_u]Mason[/name_u] / Brayson / [name_m]Greyson[/name_m] craze which [name_m]Jason[/name_m] could get lost in pretty quickly (especially with all those Masons).

  1. [name_u]Alex[/name_u] / [name_m]Jason[/name_m]. Which name is easier to pronounce?
    [name_m]Jason[/name_m] is easier.

  2. [name_u]Alex[/name_u] / [name_m]Jason[/name_m]. Which name are you likely to hear it correctly and not mistake for another similar sounding name when the name is spoken?
    [name_u]Alex[/name_u], it’s very distinct. [name_m]Jason[/name_m] could sound like [name_u]Chase[/name_u] or [name_m]Jayce[/name_m].

  3. [name_u]Alex[/name_u] / [name_m]Jason[/name_m]. Which name are you more likely to remember?
[name_u]Alex[/name_u], [name_m]Jason[/name_m] is a more common name for me but that’s my generation! I’m in my late 20s. I don’t think there are a lot of [name_m]Jason[/name_m]'s being born now.

  4. [name_u]Alex[/name_u] [name_m]Lim[/name_m] / [name_m]Jason[/name_m] [name_m]Lim[/name_m]. Which name would be better or sounds better? ([name_m]Lim[/name_m] is my surname)
I like [name_m]Jason[/name_m] [name_m]Lim[/name_m] better, it’s two distinct sounds/names. “[name_u]Alex[/name_u] [name_m]Lim[/name_m]” rolls into each other and could sound like one word.

  1. [name_u]Alex[/name_u]

  2. [name_u]Alex[/name_u], but that could soon change with the increasing popularity of [name_f]Alice[/name_f].

  3. [name_m]Jason[/name_m], because it’s more unusual in this day and age.

  4. [name_m]Jason[/name_m] [name_m]Lim[/name_m], because the L in [name_u]Alex[/name_u] sounds a tad awkward with [name_m]Lim[/name_m]. Wouldn’t be a problem if there were more letters in between, ie [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] [name_m]Lim[/name_m] or [name_u]Alex[/name_u] [name_m]George[/name_m] [name_m]Lim[/name_m].

  1. As a native speaker of English, both are equally easy to pronounce. I couldn’t draw a distinction there, I have absolutely no problem pronouncing either one. In many other European languages, though, [name_u]Alex[/name_u] is definitely easier. J is somewhat of a problem letter in international terms, being pronounced differently in a lot of different languages. I am not sure about non-European languages since I don’t speak any. If you only care about English though, there is no difference.

  2. I think [name_u]Alex[/name_u], very slightly. I really don’t think there’s much in it, though, they are both common and well-known and I don’t think there would really be problems with either one in an English-speaking country.

  3. Both equally easy to remember.

  4. I think [name_m]Jason[/name_m] [name_m]Lim[/name_m] sounds slightly better. Not much in it, though.

I like both names, but prefer [name_u]Alex[/name_u], in terms of my personal taste. I think [name_u]Alex[/name_u] is definitely more popular at the moment, though, if that’s a factor for you at all. [name_m]Jason[/name_m] on the other hand may be considered slightly ‘dated’ by some.

Overall, I would just go with the one you personally like best because if these are your main priorities, it’s close to being a dead heat!

  1. They are equally easy for me to pronounce.

  2. I don’t know about [name_m]Jason[/name_m], but I do know from experience that [name_u]Alex[/name_u] (on boys) gets mixed up with [name_m]Eric[/name_m] quite a bit (and more rarely, [name_m]Alec[/name_m]). I have a closer relationship to the name [name_u]Alex[/name_u], so it is unlikely I, personally, will mix it up for something. I might mix [name_m]Jason[/name_m] up with [name_m]Jacob[/name_m], but I don’t think I ever have.

  3. I have a closer relationship to the name [name_u]Alex[/name_u], so that one will always be easiest for me to remember.

  4. I like the sound of [name_m]Jason[/name_m] [name_m]Lim[/name_m] better, but I still like the sound of [name_u]Alex[/name_u] [name_m]Lim[/name_m].

  1. [name_u]Alex[/name_u] / [name_m]Jason[/name_m]. Which name is easier to pronounce?
    [name_u]Alex[/name_u]

  2. [name_u]Alex[/name_u] / [name_m]Jason[/name_m]. Which name are you likely to hear it correctly and not mistake for another similar sounding name when the name is spoken?
[name_u]Alex[/name_u], but both are pretty straightforward names

  3. [name_u]Alex[/name_u] / [name_m]Jason[/name_m]. Which name are you more likely to remember?
Both equally as easy to remember

  4. [name_u]Alex[/name_u] [name_m]Lim[/name_m] / [name_m]Jason[/name_m] [name_m]Lim[/name_m]. Which name would be better or sounds better? ([name_m]Lim[/name_m] is my surname)
    I think [name_m]Jason[/name_m] [name_m]Lim[/name_m] looks nicer, but I prefer [name_u]Alex[/name_u]

  1. [name_u]Alex[/name_u] / [name_m]Jason[/name_m]. Which name is easier to pronounce?
    [name_m]Jason[/name_m], by far.

  2. [name_u]Alex[/name_u] / [name_m]Jason[/name_m]. Which name are you likely to hear it correctly and not mistake for another similar sounding name when the name is spoken?
I think they’re both pretty normal names, I don’t think either will be mistaken for another name.

  3. [name_u]Alex[/name_u] / [name_m]Jason[/name_m]. Which name are you more likely to remember?
[name_m]Jason[/name_m], because I don’t know as many people named [name_m]Jason[/name_m].

  4. [name_u]Alex[/name_u] [name_m]Lim[/name_m] / [name_m]Jason[/name_m] [name_m]Lim[/name_m]. Which name would be better or sounds better? ([name_m]Lim[/name_m] is my surname)
[name_m]Jason[/name_m] [name_m]Lim[/name_m]. The “lex” and “lim” could be a problem.

I’m from the US and a native English speaker, so I can’t speak for how these names might fare internationally

  1. I think it’s a wash. Both are quite easy for me as a native English speaker.

  2. [name_u]Alex[/name_u], maybe? [name_m]Jason[/name_m] might be misheard as [name_m]Jacob[/name_m], but on the other had, [name_u]Alex[/name_u] might be misheard as [name_m]Alec[/name_m]. I don’t think it would be much of an issue with either name, though, as both are quite common.

  3. [name_m]Jason[/name_m], maybe? [name_m]Just[/name_m] because I know more people named [name_u]Alex[/name_u].

  4. I think I prefer [name_m]Jason[/name_m] [name_m]Lim[/name_m], but I think that [name_u]Alex[/name_u] [name_m]Lim[/name_m] is nice too.

So, to sum up, I don’t think you could go wrong either way. Would you give [name_u]Alex[/name_u] the full name [name_m]Alexander[/name_m]?

I like [name_m]Jason[/name_m] a lot more, it just appeals to me more

I completely agree with everything you said!

Which name is easier to pronounce? They are equally easy but I think [name_u]Alex[/name_u] just because I feel it works better it more languages.

Which name are you likely to hear it correctly and not mistake for another similar sounding name when the name is spoken? [name_m]Jason[/name_m], [name_u]Alex[/name_u] kind of sounds like [name_f]Alice[/name_f] sometimes. [name_m]Jason[/name_m] is very distinct and while there are similar names they are different enough to not be confused ([name_u]Jace[/name_u] is one syllable and [name_u]Mason[/name_u] has a completely different beginning sound)

Which name are you more likely to remember? [name_m]Jason[/name_m] because it is not as common right now, I know a lot of Alexs (still a great name though)

Which name would be better or sounds better? [name_m]Jason[/name_m] [name_m]Lim[/name_m] sounds fantastic, [name_u]Alex[/name_u] [name_m]Lim[/name_m] has they repeating L sound which makes it sound less distinct.
