I voted [name]Katherine[/name] [name]Victoria[/name]. You of course can still call her [name]Kate[/name] with that choice! I really don’t like [name]Kate[/name] as a given name. It’s become a big trend but I find it pretty informal. Good luck!
[name]Kate[/name] [name]Victoria[/name] sounds too consonant-heavy. [name]Katherine[/name] [name]Victoria[/name] is nms…I guess because it is too classic and so it doesn’t interest me much. Still a good name choice though! I voted for [name]Kate[/name] [name]Vivienne[/name] because I think it is fresh and exciting while still maintaining a very classic, sophisticated feel. I think it’s a great name!
Thanks for voting and also for posting your thinking – it is very helpful!
I like [name]Kate[/name] but not sure about the middles. (Maybe because I would balance plain [name]Kate[/name] with something a bit more unique) Maybe also because I’m not a fan of V names. NMS but I like [name]Kate[/name].
Whirlgig, what are some suggestions for something more unique? I’m open to hearing them! Thanks!
Wow! I surprised [name]Katherine[/name] [name]Victoria[/name] is winning by such a big margin. Please comment on why. I’m curious! Thanks!
I suspect it’s because many Berries prefer full names rather than nicknames as first names. So when [name]Katherine[/name] is an option, a lot will choose it over its nickname form. That had a hand in my vote; I don’t mind [name]Kate[/name] as a first name (it’s one of my favorite nicknames for [name]Katherine[/name]), but I see it mostly as a nickname for [name]Katherine[/name]. [name]Katherine[/name] [name]Victoria[/name] also has such a beautiful flow, where I find [name]Kate[/name] can be a little choppy with any middle you try to put behind it.
[name]Katherine[/name] [name]Victoria[/name] is a stunner, but all your options are great, so you can’t go wrong. My opinion is that if you are going to call her [name]Kate[/name], then name her [name]Kate[/name].
I like all three, but I voted [name]Kate[/name] [name]Victoria[/name]. It’s flow is great, and it’s very pretty and classic, but [name]Kate[/name] is also fresh and a bit of a change from [name]Katherine[/name]. [name]Don[/name]'t get me wrong, I love [name]Katherine[/name], but I find [name]Kate[/name] a little less serious.
As a [name]Katherine[/name] that has always gone by [name]Kate[/name], and I’m 32, trust me when I say she’ll appreciate the longer form one day. I didn’t have an appreciation for [name]Katherine[/name] until I was about 25, but now I love having it to use when I want to.
Oh, and it’s stunning with [name]Victoria[/name]!!! I wish it were my mn!
