Honestly this thread feels a little creepy to me…the term “nymphet” is pretty unsettling in itself. I don’t like the idea of there being more female characters who only exist as overly sexualized young girls.

Yes I agree with you silversky.

I agree with silversky also.

I disagree with those above, to deny an entire archetype of character merely because it’s uncomfortable is ridiculous. Nymphets are supposed to make you uncomfortable, and there are those kinds of young girls in the world. Both [name_f]Lolita[/name_f] and [name_f]Lux[/name_f] didn’t merely exist to sexually please they were complex characters whose overt sexuality at young ages were the product of their environment…anyway, I digress. The nymphet is an important archetype in literature.

I’m not sure I like either name for a nymphet-like character. I think you need a more lilting name, or something breathy? You know? Maybe a longer name that is shortened to a childish nickname? (like [name_f]Dolores[/name_f] to [name_f]Lolita[/name_f])

Like [name_f]Berenice[/name_f] to [name_f]Bunny[/name_f]
or [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] to [name_f]Polly[/name_f]

Maybe just [name_f]Margot[/name_f]? It means “pearl”, so it has a strange forbidden treasure feel to it, while also having allusions to the Virgin [name_f]Mary[/name_f]. [name_m]Just[/name_m] a thought.
