Hello all, need some input please if anyone has a min. I am 8mo pregnant with boy #2 and my husband and I still can’t decide on a name. I think we are overthinking it and we desperately need some advice from an outside source. Our first born is named [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] [name_m]Nathan[/name_m], we love how classic yet unpopular the name [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] is and [name_m]Nathan[/name_m] is my husbands name. We would like to find something that is as classic yet not in a top ten list somewhere.
[name_m]Oliver[/name_m] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] I think goes best with your son’s name – classic yet [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] is uncommon enough that you could avoid having another in his class. I also really love [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] (especially with the nn [name_u]Teddy[/name_u]!).
I would choose [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] and then [name_m]Ian[/name_m], to go with brother [name_m]Patrick[/name_m]. i guess it depends where you live but [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] is verrrry much on the rise. it was #14 last year where i live and judging by the number i have seen born this year, it will definitely be in the top ten.
I like [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] or [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] both great classic names [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] is definitely getting a little more popular but i love the name:) we are like you we like classic names but not super popular but known so people know how to spell it and say it correctly I am pregnant with #3 baby my first was my daughter [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] my second was my son [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] [name_m]Christian[/name_m] and my third is going to be another boy and his name will be [name_u]Max[/name_u] [name_m]Ronald[/name_m]
I love [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m]! Definitely fits with [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] [name_m]Nathan[/name_m]. I would however check with the social security website to see how popular it is in your area if that’s a concern to you.
These 2 would be my top:
[name_m]Oliver[/name_m] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m]
[name_m]Thomas[/name_m] [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] - I might like this one slightly more than [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m])
[name_m]Theodore[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] is great! [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] is actually becoming a pretty popular name (especially in the UK). Have you considered [name_m]Malcolm[/name_m], [name_m]Richard[/name_m] or [name_m]Arthur[/name_m]?
I think [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] or [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] are the best choices. [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] is less popular now, but it’s going up. [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] is more popular now but it is going down, however I don’t think it will nosedive or even go down too far, it’s too much of a classic name. [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] and [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] I think is my #1 choice because both are stately classic names that aren’t overly fashionable but still fit in well with current trends. Unlike with [name_m]Theodore[/name_m], I don’t think you have to worry about it getting too popular. [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] and [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] would be my second choice (and my personal favorite). [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] is too popular I think, although I’m considering it myself so I’m not against popularity but I think it isn’t as nice of a style fit. The same with [name_m]Ian[/name_m], more popular and not as good as a style fit. Although you really can’t go wrong with any of these choices, they are great names.
I like [name_m]Ian[/name_m] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] - also classic but less popular. All nice choices, but some of the others are much more on-trend (i.e., [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] and [name_m]Oliver[/name_m]).
I think [name_m]Ian[/name_m] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] and [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] are your best choices! [name_m]Ian[/name_m] sounds so nice with [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] and [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] is more classic like [name_m]Patrick[/name_m]. [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] and [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] are on the rise.
