Which name suit my character better?

The character is an introvert, calm, slightly melancholy female with a scholar-mix-artist vibe, chemistry major, in her early 20s, having some problem with lack of empathy and ADHD (not severe though) due to childhood experience and bearing environment. So i don’t think a bubbly sounding name will fit her well. She is not the main character btw, so i prefer to give her a name that ppl can see in real life and save the fancy-unrealistic one to the main character.

Also, the character doesn’t fit the traditional female figure, but also isn’t a tomboy figure, she is not gender-blurring and definitely not sporty or muscular type, nor having very short hair. So i’m considering using girl’s name that doesn’t sounds too sweet (eg. no “na” “sa” ending) as they are not so frilly or ultra-feminine, but not tomboy-ish too.

Currently my list is:
Sylvie (many ppl said it reminds them of Sylvia too much which bothers me)
Elodie(some said it looks and sounds like Melody with a haircut)
Eloise (some reminiscent Eloise at the Plaza)
Cassidy (i like the meaning for this one but many said its vibe is very different from the meaning)

OPEN to suggestions!

I like [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f], but here are some other options I thought could be gender non-conforming.
Max/Maxi
[name_f]Elle[/name_f]
Vic/Vicki
[name_u]Remi[/name_u]
[name_u]Wren[/name_u]
[name_u]Ari[/name_u]
[name_u]Nova[/name_u]
[name_u]Ash[/name_u]
[name_u]Lane[/name_u]
[name_u]Jules[/name_u]
[name_u]Rory[/name_u]
[name_u]Blake[/name_u]

I personally find [name_f]Mara[/name_f], [name_f]Mira[/name_f] and [name_f]Maura[/name_f] names with an understated vibe that would fit this character.
Some other ideas ~
[name_u]Seren[/name_u]
[name_f]Dee[/name_f]
[name_f]Anouk[/name_f]
Miele, [name_f]Mieke[/name_f]
[name_f]Iris[/name_f]

[name_f]Elodie[/name_f] and [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] seem to suit your character! I don’t necessarily think [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] reminds me of [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] too much. I don’t know, the names just have such different vibes to me. However, if you model you character so she is like someone famous named [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f], say [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] Plath, then perhaps that would sully people’s perception of your character.

here are some more ideas

[name_f]Valerie[/name_f]
[name_f]Antonie[/name_f]
[name_u]Harper[/name_u]
[name_u]Rhys[/name_u]
[name_u]Haley[/name_u]
[name_u]Eden[/name_u]
[name_u]Noel[/name_u]
[name_u]Kit[/name_u]

Thanks a lot! i like [name_f]Elle[/name_f] and [name_u]Ari[/name_u], and will probably use [name_u]Blake[/name_u] for another character from the story

[name_u]Seren[/name_u] is so beautiful! i love its meaning for both"serene" and “star”, do u happen have any nickname recommendation for [name_u]Seren[/name_u]?

Thanks a lot! do you have a preference between [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] and [name_f]Eloise[/name_f]? or do u feel they both fit equally?
And for [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f], nope, i didn’t rlly model the character like [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] Plath (although i do like her), the character is inspired by [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] in Criminal Mind.
The name list is rlly helpful! i happen to be collecting names for other characters in the story. [name_f]Valerie[/name_f], [name_u]Harper[/name_u] and [name_u]Eden[/name_u] are on my list now:>

Honestly, it’s hard to say. I think [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] is sharper than [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] and it definitely has more of a serrated edge. Whereas [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] is more woeful and melancholy (think purposely catching tuberculosis for a romantic death and pale complexion).

Oh I apologise if I may have accidentally posted this twice, idk my computer when weird.

Possible nicknames for [name_u]Seren[/name_u]:
[name_u]Ren[/name_u] or [name_u]Wren[/name_u]
[name_f]Eri[/name_f]
[name_u]Eren[/name_u], [name_u]Erin[/name_u]
Seri (too much like Siri?)
