Personally, I would not want [name_f]Lilith[/name_f] or [name_f]Violet[/name_f] at all. [name_f]Alice[/name_f] or [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] would be okay as I could have nicknames that I like. [name_f]Pearl[/name_f], [name_f]Lettie[/name_f], [name_f]Grace[/name_f] and [name_f]Flora[/name_f] are the names that I would like to be named although this might just be because of my personality. I think it will vary from person to person.
I would go with [name_f]Alice[/name_f]. It’s really sweet, pleasant but also versatile so it can fit any type of girl. [name_f]Alice[/name_f] is serious but also a bit romantic and artsy-crafty. It is a classic that has a modern feel.
I personally would want to be called [name_f]Zelda[/name_f] or [name_f]Flora[/name_f] and would not want to be called [name_f]Lettie[/name_f], [name_f]Lillith[/name_f], [name_f]Grace[/name_f] or [name_f]Pearl[/name_f]. If I was a [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f], I’d probably go by [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. However, I don’t think any of these names are unwearable as an adult. My next door neighbor is an adult [name_f]Lettie[/name_f], which is the only nickname-y one of the lot here.
I would love to be named [name_f]Alice[/name_f] or [name_f]Violet[/name_f]! They’re personal favorites of mine so of course… I also think [name_f]Pearl[/name_f], [name_f]Flora[/name_f], and [name_f]Grace[/name_f] are nice. [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] seems a bit dated, but [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] are nice. [name_f]Lilith[/name_f] is pretty but I’m not sure. [name_f]Lettie[/name_f] seems a bit nickname-y. [name_f]Zelda[/name_f] seems a bit futuristic. Its really a matter of opinion, you never know what will seem dated or too young in a few years.
[name_f]Grace[/name_f] sounds fabulous on a baby, toddler, child, teen, adult and elder. [name_f]Gracie[/name_f] as a nickname still works on all ages as well.
I also like [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_f]Alice[/name_f] a lot, and I think they also age well. [name_f]Grace[/name_f] wins though.
My vote went to [name_f]Lilith[/name_f], though I also think [name_f]Grace[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] {[name_f]Rose[/name_f]} would work. I love [name_f]Lettie[/name_f], but can only see it on a little girl.
I voted [name_f]Grace[/name_f], mainly because it’s one of the names I’ve considered changing my name to, when I was still considering changing my name. My grandma’s middle name is [name_f]Grace[/name_f], and I just liked the idea of carrying on a part of her with me, even if she wasn’t with us anymore (she is. I just liked the idea of her living on in me, in some contrived way). [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] are up there, too. I like that they’re feminine and unusual for my age group, but have more cute nicknames, if I wanted one. I think I could totally pull of [name_f]Lettie[/name_f], and I’d pull off [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] if I could. Someone told me yesterday that I am just comfortable moving in and out of people’s lives, just being happy to be with them, never feeling uncomfortable, really, and I think that’s what I like about [name_f]Violet[/name_f]/[name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] and [name_f]Lettie[/name_f]/[name_f]Rosie[/name_f]. They’re timeless and can be more formal, which can be necessary for the professional world, but [name_f]Lettie[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] are kick-off-my-shoes-and-curl-up-in-my-friend’s-couch-and-be-a-friend-to-stay sort of names. For me, anyway. I’d be pretty happy to be a [name_f]Flora[/name_f] or MAYBE an [name_f]Alice[/name_f]. I love [name_f]Zelda[/name_f]–she’s so spunky and intriguing!–but I think I’d hate the association with that game (which, I don’t even know what it is, honestly. I am not a gamer, but I hear about it fairly frequently, still. I do love the tie to [name_f]Zelda[/name_f] [name_m]Fitzgerald[/name_m], though! I just don’t think I’d like being constantly compared to the game’s character, which seems to be the stronger association, so I often don’t have the guts to add it to my list. I think something like [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Zelda[/name_f] or [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] [name_f]Zelda[/name_f] would be so cool and kick-butt, though! I would love to be a [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Zelda[/name_f].
I love most of them! I picked [name_f]Flora[/name_f], but also would have picked [name_f]Zelda[/name_f] and [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] too if I could. Honestly, most names age well to me, so I don’t know what to say about why other than they are interesting and unusual.
For our personal situation, [name_f]Grace[/name_f] and [name_f]Zelda[/name_f] are family names, and [name_f]Alice[/name_f] has special personal significance. The rest we just like, with [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] being my partner’s favorite… But it doesn’t seem to be anyone else’s… I’m most concerned, really, with giving our future kids names that age well since I don’t think mine does and I’ve suffered for it.
Interesting that [name_f]Alice[/name_f] comes out on top… That’s my favorite.
I can picture all these names on an adult, maybe except for [name_f]Pearl[/name_f]. I love [name_f]Alice[/name_f], [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_f]Zelda[/name_f]! If I were to change my name, I would pick [name_f]Zelda[/name_f]. It’s unusual but easy to pronounce, and a bit quirky but not too weird.
Your list is gorgeous! I voted for [name_f]Lettie[/name_f], because I absolutely adore it, but the only two I wouldn’t choose are [name_f]Lilith[/name_f] or [name_f]Zelda[/name_f], do to their connections. My top favourites are [name_f]Lettie[/name_f], [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_f]Grace[/name_f], and [name_f]Flora[/name_f].
For me personally, were I to choose one of these names for myself as an adult I’d definitely go with [name_f]Lilith[/name_f] (as I generally prefer quirky/uncommon names as opposed to traditional/familiar).
I think all of the names would work well on an adult in general though.
I like [name_f]Alice[/name_f] the best, to me it has that timeless beauty to it, and it isn’t all that popular or trendy. I also have the association to [name_f]Alice[/name_f] in Wonderland which is one of my favorite childhood books!
