I pronounce it [name_f]ELL[/name_f]-ee-arn-ah. I find [name_f]Eliana[/name_f] a bit fussy for my tastes and voted for [name_f]Emma[/name_f]. I know by the stats it is much less common that [name_f]Emma[/name_f], but I know a little [name_f]Eliana[/name_f] and no little Emmas.

Gotcha. :slight_smile: I can see what you mean by it being a bit fussy. My biggest issue with it is the length. I’ve always been partial to shorter names (2 syllables being the ideal) - that is why I like [name_f]Emma[/name_f]. I have a thing for E girl names!

[name_f]Eliana[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] is beautiful but I adore [name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f]. [name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] is full of spunk and sweetness. Such a beautiful combo. [name_f]Emma[/name_f] fits all kinds of personality types. She could go by [name_f]Em[/name_f], [name_f]Emmy[/name_f], [name_f]Emma[/name_f], [name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f].

I pronounce [name_f]Eliana[/name_f], el-ee-a-nah.

I went for [name_f]Eliana[/name_f] ([name_f]Ellie[/name_f]-ahh-nah) because I happen to not be a big fan of [name_f]Emma[/name_f]. Also I don’t think [name_f]Eliana[/name_f] will be mispelled too often, and if the length is off putting there are loads of nickname options that make the name shorter e.g. [name_f]Ellie[/name_f], [name_f]Lia[/name_f] or [name_f]Lana[/name_f].

I prefer [name_f]Eliana[/name_f]. There are just so many Emmas these days. In college I knew FIVE of them so they mostly went by their last names. [name_f]Eliana[/name_f] is so pretty and sounds excellent in both English and Spanish.

Since you have reservations about length, what about [name_f]Elina[/name_f]? (eh-[name_u]LEE[/name_u]-nuh) I grew up knowing an [name_f]Elina[/name_f] and I found it lovely. I think it may be the best of both worlds!
