I thought that I had decided on [name_m]Everley[/name_m], but recently I fell in love with the name [name_f]Octavia[/name_f]. There are more nicknames for [name_m]Everley[/name_m], like [name_u]Ever[/name_u], [name_f]Evie[/name_f], and Ev, but for [name_f]Octavia[/name_f] there is only one nickname that I like, [name_f]Ava[/name_f]. And I know that [name_f]Octavia[/name_f] will get shortened as it’s a four-syllable name. I would love some feedback and to know which one you prefer. Thanks!
Personally I’d go with [name_m]Everley[/name_m] because it’s been a more consistent favourite and [name_f]Octavia[/name_f] is such a style jump.
However I think we could meet in the middle.
[name_f]Cassia[/name_f]
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]
[name_f]Harriet[/name_f]
[name_f]Stella[/name_f]
[name_f]Athena[/name_f]
[name_f]Isla[/name_f]
[name_f]Antonia[/name_f]
[name_u]Emery[/name_u]
[name_f]Zelda[/name_f]
[name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]
[name_m]Everley[/name_m] and [name_f]Octavia[/name_f] are very different in style, but I like them both! For [name_f]Octavia[/name_f], she could be called [name_f]Tavie[/name_f] (tay-vee), [name_f]Via[/name_f], or [name_f]Avie[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Avie[/name_f]/[name_f]Avy[/name_f]/[name_u]Avi[/name_u] is super cute
For what it’s worth, I think [name_m]Everley[/name_m] [name_f]Octavia[/name_f] is a great combo - it’s unexpected and very cool!
They are both very different stylistically and I do love both! I guess you will just have to consider which one you can imagine yourself or others calling out loud, or introducing her as.
Or you could even wait until you meet her and see which suits her best
[name_m]Everley[/name_m] [name_f]Octavia[/name_f] would actually make a lovely combination.
I love [name_f]Octavia[/name_f] with the nickname [name_f]Avia[/name_f]. Both sound beautiful.
I absolutely adore [name_f]Octavia[/name_f], but at the same time, I’m swooning over the nickname [name_u]Ever[/name_u] for [name_m]Everley[/name_m].
As for [name_f]Octavia[/name_f] nicknames, [name_f]Ava[/name_f] is nice, but [name_f]Via[/name_f] would be a super pretty choice too, and I also like [name_u]Tavi[/name_u].
The previous suggestion of [name_m]Everley[/name_m] [name_f]Octavia[/name_f] or even [name_f]Octavia[/name_f] [name_m]Everley[/name_m] would be really cute if you couldn’t come to a desicion and wanted to use both.
I think [name_m]Everley[/name_m] [name_f]Octavia[/name_f] works if you like that but if you’re looking to use just one or the other, my vote goes to [name_m]Everley[/name_m] since it’s been more consistent for you in liking it. [name_m]Long[/name_m] time favorites always get a thumbs up from me.
[name_f]Octavia[/name_f] is much better. I really don’t like [name_m]Everley[/name_m].
Out of the two I prefer [name_f]Octavia[/name_f], such a fun and unexpected name! I have a four-syllable name myself (not [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], that’s just a username) and I’d say maybe a little less than half of the people I meet ends up shortening it at some point? So there is a sizable amount of people that don’t. I think it’s definitely possible to live with a long name and almost always use it in full, unless your daughter would choose otherwise herself.
[name_m]Everley[/name_m] feels somewhat heavy and masculine to me. I prefer the sleeker [name_u]Everly[/name_u] spelling, which is also in greater use, and most likely the spelling that people will default to. If you can’t decide, maybe a name like [name_f]Evelina[/name_f] or [name_f]Avia[/name_f] could be an option that merges [name_m]Everley[/name_m] and [name_f]Octavia[/name_f]?
I muuch prefer [name_f]Octavia[/name_f] over [name_m]Everley[/name_m]. A nn will emerge, so I wouldn’t worry about that. [name_m]Everley[/name_m] is sooooo trendy these days and there will be hundreds of [name_m]Everley[/name_m]'s in this generation. No so with [name_f]Octavia[/name_f].
[name_f]Octavia[/name_f] wins by a mile for me! I love [name_u]Tavi[/name_u] as a nn, but you could do [name_u]Tay[/name_u] or [name_f]Via[/name_f], [name_f]Ava[/name_f], [name_f]Avia[/name_f].
