[name_m]Hi[/name_m]- I’m in the process of changing my name (I’m trans FtM), and I need help deciding which one would be the best fit. I’m a pretty big dork, and am generally bubbly, but I’ve got a serious side as well. Which name do you think is best? Looooooove [name_m]Montague[/name_m]/[name_m]Monty[/name_m]!! It’s got wearable class that will age really well and [name_m]Monty[/name_m] is awesome. [name_m]Merlin[/name_m] is definitely showing your dork side, but honestly, I’m loving it. [name_m]Monty[/name_m] M. Ruyak / [name_m]Montague[/name_m] M. Ruyak, sounds pretty spiffy.
Also like [name_m]Montague[/name_m]/[name_m]Monty[/name_m] [name_m]Ernest[/name_m] and [name_m]Montague[/name_m]/[name_m]Monty[/name_m] [name_m]Emrys[/name_m] (little more subtle [name_m]Merlin[/name_m] reference and what a dashing name!!!) [name_m]Montague[/name_m] [name_u]Ridley[/name_u] sounds good, too.

I love the nickname [name_u]Mars[/name_u]. But I find [name_u]Ashton[/name_u] [name_m]Montgomery[/name_m] the best. I really like [name_u]August[/name_u] (nn [name_u]Gus[/name_u] or Auggie) or [name_m]Atlas[/name_m] (nn [name_f]Atty[/name_f]) if that helps at all.

I’m so indecisive and I like them all, but it seems like you use a variant of [name_m]Monty[/name_m] the most in all of your options which makes me think you feel a stronger connection to that name maybe. I also really like [name_m]Montague[/name_m] [name_m]Emrys[/name_m] that bluedanube suggested.

I can see why its difficult to choose from them! I love so many from your list! I particularly love [name_m]Calum[/name_m] [name_m]Montgomery[/name_m] and [name_m]Markus[/name_m] [name_u]Ridley[/name_u]. My favourite is [name_m]Markus[/name_m] Ridley with the nn [name_u]Mars[/name_u]. [name_m]Markus[/name_m] is strong and serious while [name_u]Mars[/name_u] gives it a more playful vibe. [name_m]Montague[/name_m] seems to fit the personality traits you provided. Classic Shakespearean name that ages well, and retains uniqueness. [name_m]Monty[/name_m] as a nn is fantastic. I’m also in the process of changing my name, but only because I dislike my given. If you’re indecisive, I highly suggest wearing each candidate for a while before changing it legally.
Important Note: Everyone’s perception and opinion [name_m]WILL[/name_m] vary. Make it all about what YOU want, versus what others want for you. I’ve been settled on a family name ([name_m]Kane[/name_m]) for about a year now, despite some family/friends hating it at first. Good [name_m]Luck[/name_m]!
