Here is our list for our little girl and would love opinions on them! I really love [name_f]Sophie[/name_f], but our last name begins with an S so I’m not sure if that will be a mouthful!
Personally I would prefer to use [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] and have [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] as a nickname, as [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] just feels more complete to me. I really adore [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] as well, I think it could be used as a nice middle name for [name_f]Sophia[/name_f]: [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] S, [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] is nice but too popular, I also have hesitations about the popularity of the [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] name family.
All the names on your list are lovely. My favourite is [name_f]Sophie[/name_f]. Going with the surname depends not just on first letter but on the flow - number of syllables and where the emphasis lies. My first and surname were alliterative and they just didn’t work together, so I was pleased to change it when I married. However if my first name had been slightly different - think for eg [name_f]Christina[/name_f] instead of [name_f]Christine[/name_f] it would have worked fine.
The only choice I don’t particularly care for is [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] (love [name_f]Sophie[/name_f], though!). The rest are lovely! I don’t think [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] S. would be a mouthful, but it’s hard to say without knowing the actual surname.
Often alliteration makes for a memorable name, in a good way but it depends on the surname. All the names are nice and I really like [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] too.
[name_f]Zoe[/name_f] is my favorite! So cute.
Whether or not [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] works (which by the way I like much more than [name_f]Sophia[/name_f]) depends on your surname. I don’t think it’d work with a two-syllable S surname, a surname starting with So- or a surname ending in an -ie/e/y sound.
[name_f]Sophie[/name_f] is a gorgeous name and a wonderful pick! I agree with others who brought up that alliteration is probably secondary in impact to overall flow. I immediately thought of young actress [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] Skelton as an example!
